well well well.

after a short 6 months of no SWG (yes, i have been going nuts, and don't know why)

I AM BACK! and on eclipse!!!

so, as the topic of this thread is stated, i used to play a rifle guy.

but i got sick of the 50 million x damage multiplier, and getting owned by choobas (or whatever they are).

SO! ima go mele.

I don't know anything about the PIke class, cept i got a really nice pike today from someone who was helpin out a n00b.

so that made my decision.

first i'm going to master the brawler tree (is it worth it?), then get medic and pike.

my next question is, what are some good stats to set myself up with (zabrakk race), what are some skills i should think about getting, and what kind of stuff should i be hunting? Since i came from the rifle line, i'm timid about running up and just swinging on stuff. So that's something i'm getting used to.

any help would be nice =)

Well, you should know that the 2.5x damage multiplier against riflemen has been gone for some time. Melee have a to-hit bonus against them, but riflemen have extremely high melee defenses. Rifleman is the only class that can solo anything and everything in PvE now and is one of the reigning kings of PvP as well.

Yesterday I was leading my guild into the Nightsister Stronghold to go kill Axkva Min. There was 15 of us in total, but one of the people went and scouted ahead. And what did he find, you ask?

The entire cave cleared out, and a single rifleman soloing Axkva Min..

Yea, I was bloody pissed. Especially when all of us had a tough time taking down an elder (no one lost, just took a while). Damned riflemen..

Welcome to the Pikeman profession. It's a heckuva lot of fun, and the moves look sweet compared to the pansies standing on the backline firing their pea shooters.

Yeah, i am master rifleman/master brawler/ and almost master pikeman, but you solo alot of stuff when master rifleman, you can use conceal shot and they never come ofter you, and its OWNS in PvP, i went pikeman, so i can run up block, but it might be nerfed now, i geuss ill find out
