Thread: I am doing more damage with my LVA then with my LVL.
No you are not crazy, these two weapons are actually working like that, it is the futile hope of many a Pikeman to see their certifications switched and finally be put in proper order, remember however it is no bug, it is a random feature.
As a sidenote, common Nightsister Lances are far far worse than Basic Lances in all aspects except perhaps HAM costs, the Nightsister Energy Lance is better than the Basic Lance and Vibro Lance but worse than a good crafted Long Vibro Axe, against Exceptional VLs and LVAs there is no comparison of course, I don't think the NSEL can even match up with a Nightsister LVA to be honest.
they did this because its a different damage type i believe. fencers get the stun baton cert at novice, and it is far lower in damage than the gaderiffi baton, but it has stun damage. swordsmen get the power hammer cert at novice, and although it is their best weapon, it is also blast damage. everything from novice brawler until your each novice pikeman/fencer/swordsman is kinetic.
at least, this is what i think the reasoning is.
