Thread: all about the DOT's?

good day all,
just recently achived master pikeman status, as a full time pikeman [non holo grinder] im looking for a little advice from all of you[please dont suggest dropping pike as many friends allready have].
after reading many of your posts i can see that we have a wide array of dot lances avalible for us to loot, ive gatherd a number of lances and some have either nice dot's or attribute modifiers.
just requesting a little advice from all you guys, with a little of your style of play.
is pikeman really all about the DOT's ?
all your help would be greatly appriciated .

My experiences with my pike build, (master pikeman/brawler/4304 tka/1440 fencer/2200 medic)
is that the dots are nessesary. You can't take down a master medic build with out the dots. And the only way to take down a master doc build is to spam attacks with your mind poison pike, since we don't attack mind pool straight away. I prefer spamming area attack 2 and some lunge2 and sweeps now and then.
But unfortanly the good pikes use to be bought of the trade forums at hughe amounth of creds theese days so my advice is to get some nice friends and hunt nightsisters for a mounth or two. I got my poison lances that way, and they got some other nice things like leather aso.

forgot to mention that im master doc/pikeman, the doc was for buffing my alt[bounty hunter]
pikeman was only for pvm for me but i love a bit pvp and would be nice to take mt melle out insted of the bounty hunter, so if you dont mind me picking your brains id love to hear of your experiences in both aspects of play and what works for us.
p.s im loving the area kd

in PVP, the better pikeman is the one with more / stronger mind poison/fire pikes. speed and accuracy SEAs are also a huge benefit to master pikemen, try tocollect +25 worth of pike speed and accuracy attachments, and 4-5 strong mind dot lances (look for the 250 damage area for those dots)
