Ppl are saying it takes a second character to support a Jedi and if everyone is able to become a Jedi and has to lose all their previous skills, well there goes the economy. No more armorsmiths, no more weapon smiths no more docs. If ppl can trade in their points it might be different. Some ppl might not want to lose their only means of income and this would address that. But having one go from a doctor to a jedi initiate and losing all their previous skills is kinda wierd. Its like all of a sudden they become retarded. How can a doc just forget all his med skills overnight and now can barely do anything with a lightsaber? However, this might be a way to keep the entire community from becoming Jedi. But on the other hand, what if they dont like Jedi??? What if after dying 30 times and never getting to padawan they have had enough and want to go back to their original character and fly around in space combat and kill other Jedi (as they are spitefull)?? WIll they be able to if their character ungoes a lobodomy when becoming a Jedi? Or is that the end of the game and they just have to delete and start over? Cause I think they will just delete their account and go away instead.

These things have me pondering as well. If, indeed, our main becomes force sensitive and is forced to give up our professions, there will be a lot of naked dead jedi around.

If they allow us to keep our current professions as well as jedi, they better set up a system so your skills from jedi and your other profession skills dont mix.

Just imagine the jedi master/TKM/master rifleman.

I was reading the above thread about Darth Maul and wondered.

With the new path to Jedi where one does quests and slowly becomes FS, does that mean we keep our old skills and slowly give them up as we gain the Jedi skills? I hope so. Boy I will hold on to all my defensive melee lines to the very end. That would be nice but probably wont happen. Has anyone heard anything?

You could actually fight Polarm style then switch to light saber then to TKM and stuff, would be very cool. Kinda like Darth Maul.

If they allow mixing of Jedi and non-Jedi skills then I have a feeling we will be seeing some pretty frightening skill point set ups...

clear your mind of questions. no more will they tell you...

remember how wrong we all were about the original path to jedi? ya... best to just wait till what ever is in game, then test it ourselves, as the devs probably wont know how it works when its released any way

From my understanding...you will complete quests to open your force slot with the character and template YOU choose. Once these quests have been completed, the force sensitive character will become avialable, much like the way it is now.

[17:42] [Keldarin] There also won't be a specific Force Sensitive slot anymore, you will actually enable the Force skills for your current character and progress from there.

From the dev chat...

To fit the playstyle of most Jedi, I'm sure the quests will involve a competition to see how much you can exploit, justifyand whine. Only those who can live up to the standard already set by current Jedi will become force sensitive.
