Im currently a swords many, butnot far into it. Im looking to make the strongest char possable so I can solo kryat Dragons, and nightsisters. Just woundering how Pikeman is to Swordsman. Is it around the same worse or better?

me (with my PH)and my friend builder bob (a master swordsman) can solo krayts quite easy. pikeman might be a little harder, although ive seen a master pikeman do alot of damage to the krayts if he has good dots. i my self am going master pike master swords with some fencer

Swordsman. With higher damage output and the blast damage power hammer, swordsmen can kill things pikemen cannot and generally do better in PvE. Not that pikeman is bad, just not the best.

if you have the weapons and the tapes you can do well enough... soloing would mean you may want more defenses.... if you want soem versatility im pike/hs and when one is 100% res i switch between them... the few things that have high res to blast usually have low res to elec and open the door for pike...

pike is real good for area and crowd controls... i usually go out with 1 or 2 other HS adn they down the elder as i take on 10-14 NS including protectors weavers and sentinels...

another viable situation is HS/Doc... the more self dependant version...
