Hi there. I am a longtime Master Fencer/Master Pistoleer/Smuggler0040/TKA4300 a version of the classic PvP Pistoleer Template, mastered that template originally in July '03. Holo-ground 15 professions, got bored returned to my previous Uber733t state, PvPed for a month or so and sadly realized ( with finality),that at this juncture of the game, PvP is essentially broken unless you have mastered Doctor or Combat Medic.

Long story short, Ive decided on what I will call, the ultimate PvE Template. I proudly proclaim, Iam a min/max-er, I want to kick ass in PvE, I want to mow down mobson anyplanet. I want people to come on the boards and scream "OMFG what exploit is this?". Needless to say I have top o' the line equipment.

Master Fencer

Master Swordsman

Master Pikeman

4pts leftover

Im also considering

Master Pikeman

Master Swordsman

Fencer4440 or 3440

Medic1100 or 2000

I know this has been discussed previously in other threads, I am interested in current ultimate PvE templates others are using and why?

I'm going to assume that Tkm/FM/PM is not an option?

My best friend in game is a master doc working towards TKM atm and he really likes it. I know I am not looking forward to him giving up doc someday lol. I think Doc Really goes well with just about anything though. The convience of self buffing and healing is hard to beat.

Ive got a real nice template that caps my ranged and melee defense, which works well alongside the 115 block from pikeman.

Since I pvp alot too my kd and dizzy resists are almost capped (cap is 125 for almost all defenses now), which gives me a huge advantage over fighters, since Ill have at least 5 seconds where I can hit them, and they cant hit me (Basically 2-3 hits free for me).

And dont believe what anyone else says, pikeman is a very good pvp profession if you play it well. I dont even use dot lances, although Im sure they would be a help if I ran into someone with heavy duty armor.

Doc is a nice add-on, but I gave up master since everywhere you turn is another master that is willing to buff you. With my defenses I take about 1/10th the hits I used to, so healing isnt that important to me anymore.

Basically what Im trying to say is if you practice your template enough eventually you will have a very useful one, its all about knowing how to best use each of your skills in each situation.

Well Im not going for PvP. I already have Master Fencer. I want Master Swordsman for the single targets and Master Pikeman for the Area of Effect. If TKM/MF/MP is your template I am curious as to how that is working out, ultimately Im shooting for ultimate PvP as the title of the post says. Any input is welcome.

well pve I would think doctor any thing is a very good option especially if you can get you mind up to 3k like I can.

I'll let you know how TKM/PM/FM goes so far with just FM/PM its great tkm should add on a little somethin' somethin'

In my opinion the ultimate PvE template is TKM, Swordsman, Rifleman, master brawler. TKM has the best toughness and thus takes the least damage, plus powerboost and meditation. Swordsman has 3 weapons that are medium armor piercing and available in 2 damage types, Blast and Kinetic, and rifleman has weapons of all varieties of damaqe types, cold, energy, acid, stun, and blast with the new berserker rifle. Almost all of these rifles are medium armor piercing, with T21 even being heavy AP. Also DOT weapons are readily available for rifleman, I have a number of DOT tusken rifles, and rifle and swordsman both target the same pool, for maximum efficiency in your killing. Master brawler to top it off with intimidate 2 and warcry 2 (warcry still works if you know what instances to use it in), and the ability to use DOT weapons from all brawler professions, especially strong mind dot nightsister lances which can supplement your mind damage dealt by the swords and rifle.

Im master pike/master doc right now, and to be quite honest, i feel that using your doc skills when in PvP is a sure way to get screwed, fast! unless you have a good mind buff ontop of your brandy that it

I've been hit with quite a few mind poisons in PvP, and using your MIND to cure them just sets you worse off, especialy when they just pull that weapon again and hit you for yet another poison. If you want poison ect healed when in PvP, get a friend to do it!

just my 2 creds worth

If you must keep TKM, you will have quicker xp gains with rifle/TK or swords/TK than you will with Pike/TK.

If you are nowhere near the speed cap for swords, I would go rifle.

Im currently speed capped with some accuracy mods with rifle, but i appreciate the info thanks! I thought that pikes would be faster on the xp gain somehow.
