Thread: A little slice advice

Hi all
I am totally new to the pike side of the world, and really haven't done any melee since my TKM/Dancer a year ago, but I've always fancied the cool look of being a pike girl. Well now pike is no longer the fotm DoT thing it used to be, I hate being the same as everyone else, I've decided with my upcoming unlock (only for the alt, my saber is destined for the trash) that it's time for a change, so M Pikes is going to be in the next template for sure.
Now having spent a good few hours browsing the galaxy bazaar search, I've picked up about 8 very fancy vibro lances (probablyabandoned by their new MBH/CM owners 
), and 1 is destined to be my main weapon. The condition is low, but an ADKwill see to that. What I need is some advice on what I should slice and which pup I should use to make it the most effective.

Speed 2.37
Min Dam 486
Max Dam 978
Sac 94
I've read that some pre-cu weapons won't slice so I may have to accept that, so advice for slice + pup, or if it won't slice, just which pup to usewould be much appreciated.
Very much looking forward to be a cool looking pike weaving gal

what's the rest of your template going to be?
that pike you have is nice, but most likely, it was a pre-cu and already sliced. you can take it to a smuggler to be sure though.
if you get a pike sliced, i would recommend level 3 dmg, level 1 spd, level 1 critical.
as for the pup, always use the sac reducing ones. you'll be able to spam your strongest specials for a longer period of time.

Level one critical hit, Level one Speed, Level 2 Dmg, Level 3 Dmg. Nuff said thats what you want for slice

I got level 3 Critical hit slice on my Bladestick. I love seeing +Critical+ over the target's head when I do Impale

Great stuff, thanx for the help
Not yet sure on the rest of my template (I've got 4 weeks to decide) but it might be something obscure like tailor or dancer, or I might go full combat. I get bored of only fighting, butas I'll have an alt I might go for it on this character. I'll have fs melee speed and defense for sure, and will probably trade out vehicle or survival fs for melee accuracy the next time phase 3 comes round in the vague hope that by then they've fixed the issues with the quest!

yes but it doesnt do extra dmg atm, so +critical+ over their head is all you get....
And btw some pikes are much better off with a speed slice, tier 4, but thats a pricey slice!
