Well someone had to do it and since no one reads the FAQ . . .
First things first:
LVA = Long Vibro Axe
VL = Vibro Lance.
1. If you are coming from another combat profession save up 145K combat xp to get to stances II as soon as you train novice. . .the extra accuracy helps.
2. Do not use the LVA until you get to novice pikeman unless you want frequent lessons in patience.
3. Use speed sliced LVA's and speed sliced VL's in your journey through the grind.
4. Once you get to Novice Pikeman advance in this order:
If you saved up the 145K combat xp train to 0-0-0-2 ASAP.
Next advance up to 0-0-1-x to get the single target knockdown
Next advance up the stances discipline for speed so that's 4-0-1-x.
Finish out defense so you are at 4-0-4-x.
Finish out offense to get to 4-4-4-4.
Train master pike and open up your next holo.
Hunt the same things you hunt to grind out any other combat prof. Get some doc buffs along with decent armor and hunt huurtons, pikets and baz nitches.

i was told to go up offense first because you can stack bleed onaction and then hit for action with really good shots is there something wrong with this logic?

stances = more speed
more speed= faster swings
faster swings = stuff dies faster
stuff dies faster = quicker xp

huurtons, pikets and baz nitches...
Are these all on Dantooine? Missions or just random spawns. My buddy went to dantooine a couple of weeks ago, and her couldn't find much to kill (i think there was a spawn bug or something at the time?)
I'm trying to master Pikeman, while my buddy is mastering swordsman. He seems to be getting more exp unless i solo a mob.
Any idea what the 2 of us could take, to get some even good exp?

For that read the FAQ. The purpose of this thread is for everyone who doesn't bother to read the FAQ when they ask "how do I master this prof fast" 
(huurtons and pikets are on dant, baz nitches are on dath)

Fighting side by side with any other meele and you will not be able to match damage output, so you cannot expect the same XP gains. For group oriented grinders I would suggest getting your area sweep as soon as possible, sweep and area attack, the more things you hit, the more xp you get
. The run on speed though is always a good idea, top tier will get you to a comfortable pace.
