Hi All,

First off wanted to say hit novice pikeman and am happy to be among the few of you guys i see. Next is my question. I am currently a master pistoleer, master tka, with master smuggler. I want to keep as much of that as possible except the smuggler, in which i only want dirty fighting. I like the powerboost for tka so I plan on keeping that and even though its worthless, im keepin all pistoleer. Now any advice on what to drop from TKA and what to get with pikeman to get a decent pvp and pve template? Any input/templates you guys may have that are similar to mine would be greatly appreciate.

The trouble with pike is that you can't really just get one or two trees and be great. You need the accuracy (Support line), you need the speed (Stances) and you need the defenses (Defensive). If you keep master pistoleer and dirty fighting, you should also keep 4404 TKA for KD2, master meditation and the defenses. These will probably be your pvp skills. In pikeman, if you have xxx4 TKA, you'll already have more defenses (melee/ranged) than you would if you mastered pikeman, so you can do without mastering the defensive line. You might want to get xx3x to get sweep2, the area KD - very useful in pve. Get up to 4034 and you'll be alright. You'll have pike speed, accuracy, sweep2, spin2 (dizzy), action bleeds and leghit1. This should be a decent pve setup. (although, honestly, heavy swordsman is better in pve and pvp than pikeman. They can target mind, have area attacks as well, have the blast damage power hammer, and do more damage.../shrug)

So...if I made any sense and did my math right, you can get:
Master Pistoleer
Smuggler 4000 (that's the dirty fighting line, right?)
TKA 4404
Pike 4034
1 pt. left over
