Thread: forgotten?

New TC patch updates contain updates to TKA, fencer, swordsman but does not contain the words "pikeman" or "polearm" anywhere. I hope it's just an oversight.

Also...look at how Thunderheart is replying to all those "State of..." profession threads in dev tracker. Maybe we need something like that to attract a little attention?

No, I think you've got it wrong on their response. It should go something like this:

"Pikeman? Err... what?" /whispers to secretary "What is this guy talking about?"

"Remeber, sir? There are four elite brawler professions."

"FOUR! I thought there was only tka!!!"

"Trust me, I'm not at all happy this hasn't been resolved yet. These new ships are the sole reason a lot of pilots ordered RotW and to have you guys stuck in a loop because of some silly "wrong" answer gets me fired up.

There are still a lot of CU and RotW issues out there, and I'd guess some of the devs took a couple deserved days off after the expansion release, but I've brought up this issue multiple times now and will continue to do so until it's fixed. This thread isn't intended as an excuse or a long-term solution, I'm just hoping it will prevent some pilots from running into the same problems too many of us already have. "

This was posted by the pilot correspondent on 5-18-05, as most of you know. That's nearly a month ago. I happen to beone of the people who bought ROTW for the new ships, namely the Royal Guard TIE. But, because I prefer to play the game myself rather than go read these walkthroughs and FAQ's, I picked the"weak" answerand was bugged from getting this ship. What concerns me, is the whole, "I've brought up this issue multiple times now and will continue to do so until it's fixed" statement. Did you forget you posted that? Are you still bringing it up? And if so, maybe you need to get try a little harder to get their attention.

I came back to this game for the CU and was very impressed at how the gamehad improved. It was a miracle, almost everything worked right and there were very few minimal bugs.. And it made me question myself with, "Was this reallydone by the SWG team!?" In fact I was so impressed, that I decided to order ROTW. Well, there was my mistake. Once again, Ifound myself buying and paying monthly for a beta, which is why I'm here venting.

I think the thing that really urks me here, is how big of an advertisementthe new ships were. You'd think if they were asbig asyou all made them out to be, you'd play through the chain quest yourselves, trying every possible answer, and seeing if it worked right, rather than just saying, "Sweet, done writing the code... Let's make some money!"

So in closure, I ask, have you forgotten us? And if not, why aren't you keeping us updated or saying anything to the very community that keeps this game running?

Because there isn't anything to say. Tomo has been posting "no progress" reports as part of answers in other threads, but since you don't seem to hhave bothered checking his recent posts here, I don't suppose you'd know that.

You mistake the "power" of the Corrospondent position. All Tomo can do is gather information about the bug (done within the first couple of days) submit that to the Devs (done), then wait and make sure the Devs know its an ongoing issue (done and done).

Don't blame him if nothing has happened, and don't make him the target of your venting. It's most assuredly undeserved, and if you'd really looked at his recent posts, you'd know that.

I haven't forgotten you guys or this bug. I brought it up multiple times as our #1 issue and continued to bring up the issue along with a full description of the problem until it was explicitly acknowledged. Even with acknowledgement of the "answer weak" bug's existence, I plan to continue reminding them of it till it's fixed. I know how important it is and I am not about to let it slide.

Not to lessen your frustration any, but in humor, check the jedi boards.

They will get around to these problems. Its just that there are tons of problems with both the CU and RotW that need to be addressed. I expect pub 18 to fix alot (and I do mean alot) of problems.

I do think it is a bit of a joke taking a month to fix a little bug like that. I was one of the lucky ones to choose the strong option before I even knew about the bug.
