I don't contribute many posts to the Pikeman boards (not many constructive one's anyway) so I'm trying to make up for it tonight. For those of you who have mastered pikeman, this is the place to post your knowledge so that others may benefit from it. For novices and unmastered alike (myself included) this is a great place to learn what certain bonuses/moves do so you can choose the skills/trees that you like most and use the moves to their fullest advantage. For instance, i read in another post that polearm lunge has a range of 20m (correct me please if this is incorrect). This is a great tool for me since that means i havea medium chance of stopping kiters with it.

Use this thread please to anaylize moves specifically with their stats (as best as you can acertain) and their recommended uses (if any). This includes bonuses (Center and Block mods etc).

Polearm hit X- These moves are best used for lair killing. The high HAM is offset by minum defenses (and the fact that you are hitting random pools which doesn't apply to lairs). Be wary of using this on nests that typically swarm fast such as flite rasps for you will lose HAM big time and be very vulnerable if your weapon is slow.

Polearm Action Hit X- Bleeds are very usefull (less usefull since they made it so that bleeds cannot kill) but still usefull. Its good to start off with bleed since that will give it the longest time to kick in. If you hurt a lot HAM wise, you can stop using any specials (and maybe even use Center of Being) while the bleed runs and then later on finish with a leg targetting move (to do the last bit of HAM damage).

Polearm Leg Hit X- I believe this to be the most usefull special in one on one combat. It does the most damage in a sense because you are not hitting random pools and simply removing one pool (which saves time and time = less HAM lost due to specials). If you sit on beserk (which is nice for its free HAM hits) or just hit normally, you will take MUCH longer to kill some mobs with your spread out damage. Polearm hit may do more damage but unless you think you can take out your target with only a few hits its probably best to use the Leg Hits.

Pikeman : The only class that couldn't hit the ground if they dropped their weapon.
Pikeman : Doing massive damage; to the air surrounding our target.
Pikeman : You're dead meat, unless you happen to be standing in front of us.
Pikeman : Because the devs were one profession short.
DEVs : Pikeman? Thats a class?
