Alright, tossing this idea around as I'm already starting to burn out on my TKM / MFencer / 4xxx Doc

Goes a little somethin' like this...

MPikes (of course!)

MBrawler (for the spd/acc mods plus parry/riposte)

TKA x2xx (Imp leg sweep and Imp COB)

Swords xx3x (Adv Armor break)

Doc 4xx4 (healing and self-buff)

Potential weakness: Does this make CL 80? Could the MBrawler points be spent better elsewhere? If this tops out around CL 79 or 80 it seems like it would be useful.

Anyone seeing holes that I'm not?

I was just recently mbrawl/mpike/mdoc/tk x1xx (improved COB) and I'll tell you this -

eff mbrawler and eff the buffing line, otherwise great idea! (pour the saved SP into either of the secondary melee proffs)

So the Adrenal Boost won't help with pike speed enough to spend the SP on it then?

And yeah, I hear mixed reviews on MBrawler, but I think I'm talking myself out of it with each passing hour. Maybe more defenses from TKA or some more offense from Swords. :-/

you may think its worth the SP, but I was using advanced on myelf forever, switched over my SP from that to tk and I dont notice the diff, frankly I think theres enough general speed/accuracy bonuses in tk and swordsman to make up for adrenal, and honestly riposte is garbage and the skill mods are ok but not that great....

u basically have my template, i can solomost jedi beat all ranged, i havnt lost to a ranged 1 on 1 fight yet, keep imp cob running and ur the man, the +40 speed is great and Mbrawler is nice, yea riposte is trash but the skill mods help out, i dont lose often to melee non jedi, i lost once but i blame lag (lol) - i love my template and i dont have to run from jedi, got some armorbreak resistance RIS, oh i only have tk 0100 not 0200, i put the other SP into FS mlee speed, +12 more speed for me, learn to use this template and ull love it, O ang keep your target intim/WC its killer

EDIT : im lvl 71 with my template when i had tk0200 i was lvl 72 fyi, and yes except for the 1 skill box difference in TK i have that EXACT template, oh and by your sig your on my server Tarq, askany imp who PVP'swho i am and how i do, u'll see,

Nope will bring you to level 73. So no, this Template ain't up to par even though it is in general good. No way to remedy it either.

yea listen to the marksman, its 72 i assure u and if u group with a lvl 80 PvE is no problem, i had that exact template i was lvl 72! and for any ranged guys who says its not up to par, duel some1 with that template and see.

that is my almost exact template. i'm mpikes, mbrawler, 4004 doc, 0034 swords.

i can solo any temp in the game.

i'd rather have the xxx4 line in swords for improved critical hit, that way you can rotate between impale and critical for two big attacks that hit for over 1k in pvp.

cob is nice, but if you have good armor with the armor break resists, and with the good doc healing, you won't need the improved version.

regular cob, and keeping sword flurry running, will give you more than enough melee def

oh, and i'm level 75. but it doesn't matter in pvp.

I am thinking of doing something like that. I am currently Mpike/MD/Swords 0040 but I am thinking of dropping down doctor to 4004 (not much benefits having MD ATM) and get improved COB instead. I am either thinking of picking up some TK or to get more swordsman (critical hit). Not sure of which. Not sure what to spend leftover points on if I go the TK route. Might pickup Power boost (500 more health is always nice) or MBrawler. I am considering the following options (MPike+Doc 4004 in build):

1) TK 2010/Swordsman 0040

2) Swordsman 0044 (not sure about the remaining 19 pts but one choice is 0444 Swordsman + 4240 Medic - bacta toss with enhancer is better than bacta shot)

3) TK 0010/Swordsman 0014 (loose adv armor break but have improved which is 50% vs 60% good enough IMO)

Not sure which to choose. Having two high damage specials to cycle between is nice (but currently not had sac reduction pup so I run out of action to fast so two high dam specials will not be useful. Need to test with sac pup to see if I can maintain action). However 2) is pretty nice (need to check the mind cost on bacta though if it useful. Good in group however).

BTW, why do you want improved leg sweep?

What template is best depends a lot what you are planning to do. If you want a "jedi killer" template then improved COB is not that useful (at least for damage mitigation - might still be for reducing chance to be hit). Lightsabers have a very tight damage range so defense is not mitigating that much damage agaist light sabers.
