If you ONLY had a choice of the 2 following, which one and why?

1. Master Pike/Master TK/Doc 4000/Combat Prowess 0004

or

2. Master Pike/Master Brawler/Doc 4004/TK 2210/Combat Prowess 0004

I like the second one... Because of the buffing fact... Pikeman seems to take moreaction than most professions... So we could atleast action buff ourselves...

guess you don't get your action buffed often or if you do, you don't pay attention. action buffs kill your action regen, you get more action but no point if your regen dies

Lol i think your the one not taking notice. action buff is +10% action and +10% regen is the speed buff that drains your action becaue you attack faster.

Whats weird is, I know both choices. The first is level 80 and the second (half asleep this morning) is level 77. The level 77 can tank everything the level 80 can with just as good skill and in PvP, the level 77 is a very good combatant. The level 80 has dueled the level 77 and lost. So, to a point, does combat level really not mean anything after a certain point?

well in my experience with SWG just b/c it says something doesn't mean it to be true. Yes that's what the description says it does. but why don't you test it and see for yourself. an action buff messes up you action regen.

Ollier is right. The buffs do *not* mess up your action regen with or without the adrenaline buff. As a Master Pikes/Master Doc I've had plenty of opportunity to test that out.

Regarding the template, I'd put some swords in there instead of TK but that's just my humble oppinion.

I actually usually don't even get the speed buff, just the action regen one. Like he said, it is the speed buff that kills your action regen, not the action regen buff.

This is a common misconception that has been discussed at length in the Doctor forum. The adrenaline buff does not eat or reduce your action, it simply makes everything you do much faster. Each special uses the same amount of action but you are able to hit more frequently with the adrenaline buff applied and therefore it gives the appearance of going down more quickly. It's just a matter of learning how to manage your action which you can do by changing your attacks and/or with food.

That said, the adrenaline buff is about to be nerfed because it was a little bit too useful

Haha, that makes me kind of sad... all this time I've been getting action buff's thinking that I'm getting action regen. Ah well. Life goes on.
