Thread: Any tips on Leveling Pikeman?

First of all this is my very 1st post on the SWG Forums and I apologize if this message was posted by
another player, however, I did a message search to make certain, but had no luck. =(
I recently started SWG a week ago. Does anyone have any good tips when starting out this profession?
And where to level? I was pulling missions out of Coronet and Theed and managed to get the template of
0044 in brawler. Now I gotta grind the Novice Pikeman tree and seem to be stuck on where to level now.
1. Whats the best weapon to look for in the beginning stages of this game? I am still using a wood staff 
2. Whats the best armor to use at noobie state level?
3. What area should I be in as a noob pikeman?
I am sure if I get any of these questions answered, I will be one very happy up and coming pikeman

Hope this doesn't post twice.....3 times now...other browser wouldnt let me send lol. Lets try this one.
I'm new to Pikeman as well, but am a veteran gamer. Hope these help.
1. Check the weapons sticky at the top of this page, it'll let you know what weapons you can use. Then just do a vendor search on the bazaar to find the weapon you want.
2. Battle armor, but at ur lvl you'll have alot of hinderances and might not be able to afford it. consider picking up TKA as they don't need armor....ever
3. Hunting in groups is the way to go.....Dantooine mining outpost is a hotspot for this, you can always find a group there.

get in a hunting group on Dant. You won't get aggro'd cause you will be tickling the mobs but you get full XP. Just me opinion. As for the best weapon Pre-CU Vibro Lance if you can find it. If you are on Sunrunner I will give you one. As for armor I am sorry but I mastered befor the CU so I never had to grind through the new armor system.
