Staves have two ends, and are much faster than any sword in the hands of a master. You could only compare it to a double-sword combination (ie, wielding two weapons simultaneously), because in essence, that what a staff is - a weapon with two ends. Spin that sucker 'round and watch the damage fly.
Not that I expect anything to change hehe... just stating a fact

If you used a wood staff that would be true. But the LVA seems kinda big so that would be a slower weapon but get that sucker swinging with all that weight it would do massive damage.

The problem is, weapons like the lance, vibro lance, or long vibro axe are all heavy weapons. The vibro lance (although not used this way in game) is ment to be a thrusting weapon where the base is heavy compared to the tip. The vibro lance and axe on the other hand, while can be thrusted at an oppnent look to be more of a cleaving type weapon. These are designed to be heavy so they can (literally) cut someone in half with one blow.
