Pikeman is great in PvE. I've been playing pikeman for two months now and have nearly mastered it. Don't get me wrong you can definitely do it faster but I refuse to use armor and hardly ever use buffs (I'm a human BTW). It is only the past few weeks I have actually started grinding on Endor, slaughtering Bolle Bols while buffed.Theygo downpretty fast especially with our area knockdown followed by our area dizzy (the dizzy is not important, the damage is). I went up the defensive tree first followed by speed and an occasional boost in offense, to keep up during guild hunts.

I have no great looted pikes, not even a mediocre one. I always buy my pikes, with the right powerup any pike can be a good weapon.

The great thing about pike in PvE is seeing those three (insert huge creature here,e.g. Tortons, Bolle Bols,...) crashing down with our area knockdown, it is beautiful.

If you're not using buffs or armor you need to have a lot of stim packs in your inventory because we have the worst defenses of all the melee classes and the highest HAM costs. But yes, pikeman is second-best in higher-end melee pve.

Well yes, Antares is quite right on that part, you'll become an alcoholic (brandy is your best friend ... really it is ) and stim B's are kind of like candy when you do it my way. I never said it was the best way

Also I always use minushealth and plusspeed powerups, else you will kill yourself before your opponents do.

I went to the Mokk Stronghold and could take four of them on me at the same time. (I had armor on, and sometimes I would get a scare when my health would drop through my buffs) I logged out right outside it thinking I was safe from them. (I kept my armor and my LVA equipped when I logged out) When I logged in I heard the combat music and thought, "oh-no, here comes some serious decay on my armor...." (because I didn't clone at the outpost.) So when I finally get in to see my character I see that I had already killed on of them on auto-attack, and the other one was almost dead! They had been hitting me too, but they didn't kill me.
