Does anyone use the "taunt" command while fighting? And if so could you explain what exactly it does to an opponent? I havent been able to locate that information as of yet.
Thanks

i use it when a ns or krayt decides to run away. Think it jus makes the creature/npc aggro you

That's what it's supposed to do. Really, it's a convinient way to help the critter kill you, since you drop HAM with no real effect.
The #1 action that builds aggro is to stand close. Honestly, it seems the critters always attack the one standing closest.

the annoying thing about high end mobs is that they always run when low on ham.sometimes they warp 100m away so taunt has helped alot.

they agro the closest person who is attacking them.
So if you get knocked downd and dizzied and your freind is shooting the target. The target will aggro your freind, and when you stand up you can use taunt so taht it reagroes you.

or when you need a few people to tank, it's a good way to take shifts.

I use /taunt only when tanking for someone else. If something aggros them, taunting it will get it back on me. That's about the only effect it has.
I see no benefit at all in using it when fighting alone.

I'm usually the designated tank when hunting with my friends, if I see a rancor or what not run past me to attack a ranged player or doctor, /taunt brings him right back to me.
