Thread: Going Pikeman?

Right now I am a master fencer/Master Armorsmith, but I'm looking to go pikeman, as I'm kinda sick of sticking with the fencer profession. Basically my question is - Will I be able to solo the same sort of things that I do now?
I love the brawler classes and am planning on keeping either Fencer, Pikeman, or Swordsman. Since I don't do alot of PvP I'm not really worried about that end of it, but on the PvE end I'm just looking to be able to maul alot of high end stuff.
I've looked at the trade off on damage types, and know that I'm not gonna be doing stun damage anymore, but since all the fencer weapons are AP0, I'm hoping that the AP2 on the LVA will make up for it. Also is the HAM cost going to kill me or will the damage output make up for it?
If anyone could give me some input I'd appreciate it. Just wanna hear what everyone thinks before deciding on Swordsman or Pikeman.

Recently started Pikeman myself..
I can already solo enraged rancs at 2,0,2,3.
And went killing nightsisters with my swordsman friends last night..i did okay..didn't tackle an elder though..I assume my lack of blast damage now I dropped swordsman, will make me ineffective against the elders..not to worry..elders were not worth it anyway
I got better loot off a protector.
Also kileld Mokk and Kanta on dant fine
so you should be okay. Once i hit master I'm gonna try for GDK and Krayts again see how I get on.
