Alright....I have read the guides, read the posts, searched the forum...etc..etc.
What I am trying to find out, is what kind of pike (doenst matter what kind...LVA..etc) to be effective in PvP and PvE...It can even be 2 different pikes (one for each)
I dont care how much money they cost, or any of that stuff. I jsut want to know what kind of stats to look for, most importantly to be good at PvP. I am already master smuggler, and dont plan on giving that up, so i have enough skill points to master pikeman, and go up 2 trees in any other melee profession.
Thanks

get a few lances. (I have 15-20 some odd in my inventory at all times) What you will eventually want is:
a damage lance. This can be a high damage LVA, or possible VL if you find a really good one. LVAs are going to be the better bet though. Try for at least 700. Anything over 1k will be your best friend.
H/A/M Fire lances. A full HAM fire set will make you adaptable in PvE depending on your group, and is currently good for PvP. Nothing freaks players out like watching all 3 of their bars tick fire wounds. Try to find at least 150 st, 60% potency.
H/A/M poisons. These go with your HAM fire lances. Once again, 150 st, 60% potency is bare minimum.
Lastly, cap your speed. Get attachments, low speed lances, whatever it takes.Trust me, there is nothing like hitting in PvE for 7k+ every second....without a KD.
But, in a related note, once patch 9 hits, there is a 5 second delay when you switch weapons within a certain amount of time...ie: You can switch once, but if you switch a second time within, say 10 seconds, it'll wait to switch for 5 seconds, and so on.
