The"one-star" for your initial post has been rectified by the more forgiving members here (including myself) so your concerns are moot. I, for one, think there's plenty of room for distraction on the pikeman forum and your post was a nice departure from the numerousl "WE IZ B0RKED" and "OMG HOW MUCH LEWT WORTH?" posts that seem to be the norm here.
In the future, try and not be so sensitive when your posts are less than well-received and stop worrying so much "black marks"on your "permanent record". While the one-starring wasn't very nice, your response wasn't verymature.

I agree with the above poster too. It's cool to hear a little history. Not being a RL Star Wars fan much, I wonder where a lots of things come from. (that werent in the movies) thanks

Thank you for the support. <sincere>
(Wipes thousands of unshed tears from my imagination) <joking>
My 'concerns' were primarily theoretical...
I was more amused by someones need to formally give their disaproval to the world over such a small thing than I was hurt by it =)
Emphasis or over-generalizations can helpmake a point clear.
Whomever did one-star sartobacca was not me either, I restrained myself, but I cant say I didn't smile at the karmic balance.
Yaymystery person!
I am acutely aware that the pike forums are a turf that needs defending from misplaced posts. But lashing out hastily never helped anything.
I postedthis here on the pikeman forum on purpose and steered away from general discussion because in general I have found pikeman to be a more mature and responsive bunch.
When I read that book 10 years ago in school I had no lasting impressions save for the one I mentioned. I thought nothing of nightsisters again for TEN YEARS.
Now, they have become an integral part of my life in so much as they are a primary focus of my game time.
If I play an hour or if I play ten, always there are nightsisters.
Frankly, there is NO OTHER PROFESSION as qualified toappreciate nightsisters than we Sentinels.
I have made the connection in my memory and it warms this sentinels heart to think of it.
I was trying to warm a few more.
Sorry for being so defensive.
George Lucas has trampled on enough of my memories you would think I would be desensitized to that sort of thing by now huh?

Want to know how to ruin a good trilogy, besides letting Lucas do the prequels? Let people write books about it.

gah...
how come I am labeled evil for one-starring a wrong-board thread when I get one-starred for disagreeing w/ people?!?
...
anyways I was in the GAT all day and I one-starred a bunch of wrong-boarders, then I come to the Pike forums, was already in a bad mood, and I see a post that doesn't apply to pikemans (which we get so freaking much it normally wouldnt bug me) so I one-starred it. That is a good book though, and thank you for not one-starring me. Although whoever one-starred me, I'd love to get a reason for it besides "I thought you were being a meanie-poo-poo-head
ok I'm done venting now
EDIT: Oh and if you one-star THIS I will be forced to /bonk you.
MORE EDIT: Thanks to whoever five-starred me.

Does anyone else remember "The Courtship of Princess Leia" by Dave Wolverton? (a 1994 Star Wars novel)
It is all about Dathomir and the NS vs SMC. Han Solo having the legal ownership of the planet and of course his bid to win Leia as a bride.
I meanwho would take their sweetheart to Dathomir for a romantic getaway?
It took me a while to recall which book had them in it...
I have never forgotten one scene in the book where Chewbacca literlly "dis-arms" some Nightsisters in the fever pitch of battle.
In glancing over the book I found this statement about Leia spoken by an SMC sister to a Nightsister:
"She is new to us, a spellcaster from the Northen Lakes region, and an adopted clan sister."
She was to go by the clan name "Tandeer"
This was really not one of the better SW novels if memory serves but now that I have such a deep personal relashionship with the nightsisters I must re-read it!
I must now find out if Axkva Min is taken from the novel or not, I cant remember.
Anyone else remember this tale?
I thought all you Sentinels could appreciate this. =)

Axkva Min is NOT in the Courtship of Princess Leia or any book that I know of...
and second, WRONG FORUM. Just because we talk about Nightsisters half the time doesn't make this the NS forum. This goes in General Star Wars last time I checked.

Thanks for the one-star. It was so obviously deserved.
Geez!
I try to share with my fellow sentinels and you bother to put a black mark on my permanent record.
So sorry to have invaded your space and wasted your precious time.
I would never one-star one of my brothers or sisters for sharing a sentimental reflection.
That was not nice of you.
