Ok, so I've been a MD(oc) for a while and I'm not dropping it. My other is TKM.

I really like TKM, but not sure if it is the best for me.

The good of TKM:

The meditation line kicks butt.

Damage mitigation....... I can tank for days as a MD/TKM ifI'm smart with food/drink for mind.

Damage/Speed......no doubt TKM's can dish out massive damage in a flash.

Unarmed Knockdown 2...... yeah, instant kd rocks

The Bad of TKM:

The meditation line kicks butt. MD! I can heal wounds with cheap packs faster that meditation, not to mention cure anything

Damage mitigation....... Again, MD, with stim e's I heal for 1000+ not too worried about taking damage

Damage/Speed......I can kill myself faster than anyone I know can. lol

Kinetic, kinetic, kinetic. one type of damage

Here is my question?:

After playing the proffession, does it have any advantages to offer me over TKM. I like the melee proffessions. What've you experienced? Thanks everyone.

No advantages to speak of, aside from DOT weapons for PvP. Wich will hopefully be gone soon.

Meditation is GREAT if you don't want to spend the points for being a doc too. And it really isn't like teras kasi traded anything out for meditation, they just got it on top of everything else.

And power boost is nice.

oh no no. I wasn't implying that. It is fantastic. The only reason I'm thinking about dropping TKM is that I feel there is a better melee match for doc out there.Since I can heal anything and buff, I can give up pb and meditation without taking a hit. If I wasn't a doc too, I'd stay TKM forever, I love it. But a change will be fun and challenging. I can always go back to TKM.

If you're looking for something fun and challenging, go pikeman. Any drawbacks we have (and there are plenty) are unimportant if you're enjoying yourself.

TKA is overrated now. Was good before armor was excellent. Just average now.

MED AP and different damage types folks.

I *constantly* outdamage TKMs...

of course, the downfall of pike is you have to rely on looted weapons

you can't out damage TKM UNLESS you have a pike with some 1000 max damage.

So, congratulations on your loot. And saying you outdamage TKM withought saying what kind of rare looted uber weapon you are packing, is a little misleading, and suggests that pikeman outdamage them in general.

No, unarmedhit3 was overrated. TKM is still the best melee class in the game, hands down.

With looted weaponry. Find a rifleman or swordsman with a looted T21 or power hammer on par with a looted LVA, relatively, and see who outdamages who.

As far as pike vs TKA...you will take much more damage as a pikeman, but you will have access to AP2 Kinetic and AP1 Electricity (and, i suppose AP1 Energy...) so your damage against highly-armored PvE opponents will increase, but you will lose DPS vs TKAs even in the AR2 range unless you get polearm speed attachments. And DoTs, but those are wicked.

What i didnt mention is i have +94 speed and +166 accurancy

with a 900 looted vl and a 1.3k looted lva.
