So, I haven't been to the Death Watch Bunker in a long time. I went a few times after it first opened but without a big group it isn't much fun. The few times we did go as a guild I had a freakin blast, but I was a defense stacker then, and hard as hell to hit....

Since I am taking over mayoralship of my town on Radiant, I decided to slip back into the playing style I had when I first started, which is a lot of hunting, but I also wanted to be able to be a viable hand in helping with tough tasks, like the deathwatch.

So I figured with high end caves having a low resist to Elect dmg I would go pike. Something I wanted to do for a long time and finally did about a month ago. Pike was my very first profession way back before Christmas, but I never did master then. Anyways, I figured with med AP kinetic and elect dmg types I would be a viable help in places like the DWB.

I haven't gone there thugh since I mastered pike. Partly b/c I haven't found a group I wanted to go with. So my question is really this; Is it viable to solo parts of DWB as a Master Pikeman with no other combat skills? I would really like go back, but haven't. And honestly I would have thought the PIKE forums would have lots of stories etc to share but I don't see a lot. Who all has gone down there grouped/solo and how does pike really bode... Mostly by itself, b/c my defense sucks now... lol

It'll be very tough. The ones that go ranged on you are gonna tear you a new one. Without ranged mit or good defenses even the melee bots are going to put a whooping on you. Remember, you still take 50% dmg with block and you cant intimidate bots.

yeah I picked up pharm 4 just for better stims for that reason... allowed me to take a beating from 6 syth thugs, which is good, but it sounds like I will need a group to go down there if I wanna last long.

Is the Vibro Lance really good down there? Or just ok
