Once the revamp comes pikeman and our weapons will be terminated completely and pikeman wont exist anymore

I dissagree, pikeman is going to get a major boost by the combat revamp.

yepp, if they change the HAM cost system as well pikeman should be pretty good, since we have high dmg weapons, some with close to no HAM cost what so ever.

If by 'our weapons' you mean loot weapons, then I'm all for it.

I think we will be getting new, craftable, weapons. Im not sure but that would be sweet

I remember reading a post by Thunderheart a while back that basically said with the combat revamp, the key is forget anything and everything you knew about combat in SWG. It's the whole ... "There is no spoon". :-)

I have said it before on these forums, in person, and in game. I will stand by this profession until the end, even if we're gimped to the point where a novice marksman can 1-hit-Incap, we become FOTM, or worse. If people say I'm an idiot for that, I say they can stand in line to curse over my grave; but I wont go back on those words. As for the combat revamp, I can't wait. Good or bad I will remain, and a simple change of pace is enough to keep me happy... Even if it means I am hindering myself more then anyone else. Shame on anyone that thinks I would do otherwise.
And as far as lances go... Take them, take them all, delete every last one of them for all I care! I'll pwn you even without the damned things.

I think some of you missed part of what he was saying.
He was listneing to the Rumor mill to much and got high off of it.
There was a post in AT least the Corbantis Forums last night saying so-so had met with a DEV at a football game andthe Dev then later emailed him some of the plans for the Revamp.
One of the Things stated in there was thaty SOE would begetting rid of the Pikeman and Carbineer Professions altogether.
Dont know if that was posted in all the Forums or just ours.
Either way its BS. They wont be getting rid of Pikeman. I agree with what someone else said. Pikeman will get better because of the Revamp. Even if they do get rid of the FOTM DoT lances.
