Thread: How does the Pikeman do with the Death Watch Bunker/Black Sun?

I'm trying to pick my melee profession, and I am wondering what experiences people have had with the Death watch bunker and black sun mobs. Is it easy or hard to defeat the mobs?

All black sun mobs are easy at any of the Master Melees.. but.. I'd go with swordsman or pikeman for the Deathwatch mobs.. although I haven't fought any of them as a pikeman yet, still waiting for the next Tempest raid..

on corbantis we do about 2-3 runs a week. we have two teams aswell, and have crafted about two suits of mandolorian in all. and about 50 jetpacks 
. There is usually a melee team of 10-15 swordsman, and pikeman. and about 2 cms running area stims every second. we carry a few jedi, a few rifleman, and a few DE's.

The first time i went as a Combat playrt ( i went first day to get doc XP, use res kits, i got alot of XP )
i was a TKM< which was really gay, but i could tank
when you go I would suggest a few Fencer/TKM ( swordsman /Bralwers to take damage and some Swordsman/Pikeman to do the brunt of the damage, of course rifles with AP3 help alot, so do docs,CM's, and BH's............
and a commando doing a burn is unvaluable................

yep pikemen are crazy in there! but swordman better tank...
at least those sbd's hate my 624 damage VL...

well, sbds only have like 20% electricicity resistance, whereas kinetic is 85%. makes a HUGE difference.

you can tank in the DWB, but you need another master melee profession with migration 3, like swordsman or fencer.

lol my first visit me and a buddie decided to go there after wondering round the area killing things i was maybee pike xx3x with doc 3xx1 it was murder oh and i was wearing ubese with 45% resists oooohhh
man that hurt i havent been there since but im anxiously waiting for a chilistra visit...

Vibro Lance all the way. Those droids hate that electricity weapon of ours. Watch those area attacks though. Use an area attack in the wrong place and all those droids come to see what all the commotion is about. Other than that pike is great down there.

commando is better for killing sbd's because the ap1 of the vibro lance over the ar3 of the sbds. the flame dots take them down real quick though

if u got good pikes its rules. a friend of mine had a 900max VL unpupped and could rip thru those pesky battle droids in seconds. dam we had fun until he got caught out and died lol

I was wondering how my template would do in the SBD. (Take a look at my Sig for template).
I currently have a 733dmg unpupped LVA. I'm currently killing (or at least trying) nightsisters in order to get a nice vibro lance.
