Pikeman Archive

I keep reading that Pikeman can solo 8 pickets at once and I am wondering how this is possible. I can solo 3 if I'm lucky. I have a 3.2 speed and about 115-375 max damage long vibro axe and am 0/0/0/2 in Pikeman.

#1 hit CoB

#2 intimidate ALL of those who aggro on you

#3 Warcry until it sticks

#4 Sweep2

#5 deal out bleeds to ALL attacking you

#6 focus leghits on ONE target

#7 keep hitting CoB, warcry and intimidation as they wear off

...and yes, you need to use some sort of buffs: spice, food, drinks, doctorenhancements, entertainer enhancements etc..

I soloed 6 graul maulers last night so I'm pretty sure 8 pikets is do-able.

Bleed? What move is a bleed?

It's ActionHit1 or something like that. You get the first onefromskill #1 in the 4th branch of the tree (combat xp), and the better one on skill #3 in the same branch.

How good is the bleed?

The bleed is pretty decent. I still only have the first bleed, and I'm impressed with it. Can't wait for the upgrade.

I can't give you numbers, but to give you an idea...

I ran across a TKA who wanted to work on his meditation, and was looking for wounds and bleeding. I offered to do it, as I have always known that the LVA will wound and bleed well. As a novice (straight, no additional skills), I applied a bleed, and he asked that the duel stop. Luckily there was a doctor nearby, he went from full to almost nothing each "tick". until he healed it, it was doc heal to full, bleed to just about incap, rinse repeat. I'd assume it was doing in the neighborhood of 800-1000 action per tick.
