Thread: Hello's from a female Pikeman.
Hello Pikemen! I wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone. I have been perusing the pikeman board for the past couple of days now, reading up on things, gathering hints and tips and general whatnot's. First and foremost I am NOT a holocron Pikeman. I became a Pikeman of my own volition. A little background on my character and how I came to be a Pikeman.As many others do, I started life as a marksman quickly deciding to travel the route of the Smuggler. During my route as a Smuggler I picked up the Pistoleer skills. Once becoming a Master Smuggler I kept looking at the Unarmed ability that I had to pick up in order to become a Smuggler. Well, one thing leads to another and I ran up the TK tree to become a TKM. So there I was all set to become a Triple Master by getting Master Pistoleer when I realized....I don't use my guns much anymore. So I start reading....TKM = speed. Ok, have that and can own almost anything in PvE. Fencers & Swordsmen. Good average class, but they are everywhere. Pikemen. Hmmm. High Damage output, cool looking weapons (limited though they may be). With my choice made I came to the Pikemen and joined the class. Having 2 Elite professions under my belt has made my journey rather easy, yet I do appreciate the uniqueness of this class. I've read a lot of negativity about how Pikeman "suck", they can't PvP, they get owned in PvE. I don't PvP much so I could careless about that aspect however, my question to those saying these things...have you ever actually played the class? My average hits are for 500+ not including specials. My VibroLance is decent (I think) 94-298 35.4% wound 2.7 speed (I sliced it) H: 56 A:80 M:29 and my LVA isn't bad either 135-462 50.4% 4.4 speed H:85 A:69 M: 30 .
Anyhow, I realize this is a long hello but I wanted to ramble for a bit and say that I am thoroughly enjoying this class.

First, about you LVA, get a powerup to calm some of its HAM costs, then I would REALLY suggest you start hunting nightsisters on Dathomir. They are not just insanely fun to fight, but they also drop some badass lances and axes.
And ones again, it's an honor to meet another broth... erh, sister of the pike
