I am going for pikeman on Farstar. Pretty tough to find good ppl to train me in the skill boxes but at least i found one...
And yes i am going for pikeman becoz i think it is just the coolest of the melee types and i sort of like the difficulty and the "uniqueness" of it. On Farstar i have never run into a Master Pikeman in the streets of Anchorhead while it is being swamped with TKs and heavy swordsmen... So yeah Pikeman is cool! So am hoping to gain that master pikeman title sooner or later... sadly i am still without a proper damaging weapon with a dot and my expedition to the Nightsister caves to loot one went horribly sour...
But still i am slowly levelling thru my boxes... so not all bad... and yeah i am grinding them manually not macro'd or tricked... and i did choose this profession and couldnt even care less about holo-profs...
BTW is the only good pikeman one with other brawler lines (TK and fencer?)?? I find it a shame a pikeman cannot fend for himself if that is true... i do not want TK...
That would mean dropping all my other professions (Artisan, Scout, Medic, CH) just for the skillpoints... :-(

Feel free do a /tell XXXiphos or mail mefor training and tips/tricks ... i can use all the help i can get....

Pikeman is the coolest, no doubt...but it's true that you really should take up other professions to boost our sub-par skills. Even then, you'll be better, but not as good as other melee professions in general. But you'll have more fun!

Sucks a bit having to invest a **edit**load of extra skillpoints into combat specialisations like fencer and TK while u couldnt care less about those... but we'll see... Probly my medic skill will be the first to leave the building...
So what is a decent price for a dotted weapon? Can they be bought?

Tough to say, DON'T CROSS TRAIN YET...I wouldn't waste the time and effort untill we know exactly how they plan to affect stacking mods. I would say the effort put into master brawler would be worth it even after any patch they might throw at us. But yea, it is fun...we got some of the most loyal players, save the holo madness. Toughness sux, so watch your aggro when your not buffed.

Envoy is right, there are changes coming, and we don't know how defense stacking will operate in the future...but Master Brawler is a huge help, you should definitely get that. It would also be a good idea to get 2xxx TKA so you can powerboost. These changes are sometime in the future, if you want to spend the time now, you can get the defenses and see what happens, or you can hold on to your current skills and wait.

Thanx for the tips... I will definitely get my missing boxes on Master Brawler done i guess... shouldnt be too hard... Have 2414 as it is and still have some weapons lying around... With my pikeman skills i can get the decent paying missions wheniequip my vibro axe at the terminal and when switching to unarmed or 2handed at the hunting grounds i should be able to fill up the boxes...
