ok, I have loved my pikeman, so far, but with my current template I can only get novice, is it worth only getting that? or sohlud I just cave and go pistol?

Just Novice Pikeman isn't good for much of anything at all...

ok...I think I can go ether 0003 ( or whatever combination ) or 4044 (again, in waht ever combination)

now, since my other two proffession are BE and CH, with the first path I could have I have level kick-arse pet, and with the second, I can have a sorta-middle pet, what do you guys think?

P.S. which is better a vibro-lance or axe?

The better path is the 4-0-4-4 one, you dont need high pets, I'm at 3-0-1-2 and cant solo most things around the Dantooine imp base. Just drop BH, it is a good skill and it can be because of how many SP it takes up.

The LVA and VL are oppinion, skill, and armor of the opponent. Most people have kenetic armor so really you should use the VL. Also really unless you find good range mods with a good speed you shouldn't use the LVA anyway until you master or at least get 4-0-04 so you have much better acuarcy and speed.

so what about say....jumping on the bandwagon and going TKA, and just up the med line, I hear that even a little TKA is still pretty powerfull..maybe I am wrong though, any opinions?

~and also, so you think that large pets really aren't needed? could I get more opinions on that.

It's true, even a little TKA is generally much more effective than a Master Pikeman. Getting TKA meditation and defenses will help a pikeman out tremendously, though. Personally, I prefer to not use pets. Lots of people don't use pets and get by ok.
