Thread: Master Brawler whats the point?

Only point I can see is that you can run up the TK med ladder.
So why not do TK then save time and points?
So WHAT is the point in doing a melee weapon class at all?
In theory a weapon hits harder than barehands anyday of the week.
Bare handed is a punch or kick, a sword can cut a mans head off, a fencer can run a man through,
and a Pike can slice him down the middle (designed in ancient days as a means of Infantry anti cavalry weapon) became the Halberd later when an axe blade was put on the spear shaft - later a hammer head was put on the reverse side of the axe blade for dealing with armoured knights - if you couldnt pierce the armour, you hit him with the hammer head and put him on his back like a turtle. A potential fiercesome weapon with 3 uses - spear, axe and hammer in one weapon. Spear for the horse - slash the rider - hammer the armour. All round Anti Cavalry weapon. Fencing was only used between civiliains in non armoured duels or skill, and swords for hand to hand infantry foot battles. Never exept in Bruce Lee/James Bond films has Martial Arts been seen as useful in Battle/Warfare. Exept in WW2 (like the commando class) marines were taught a little JuJitsu, for Emergency uses. The pike is still in mild existence just about - where a bayonet can be put on a rifle and used as a hand to hand weapon - useful up to the point where magazine loading made running out ammo rare - or the famous bayonet charges or WW1.

In theory Any Weapon hits harder than Barehands - is this True in this game.
So whats the point in Master Brawler, why not have Elite Master Brawler a meleeHybrid class - It seems that is what people are looking for, there are no hybrid melee classes - apart from TK requirements in Com and Smug classes.

Master Brawler is a huge boost to an elite melee class. If you want to be even more effective with your chosen elite melee, you should get Master Brawler. You get increased stats for every elite, you get lunge2, intimidate2 and warcry2, all of which will save you time and time again and will prove more useful than you imagined.

listen to antares... unless you're planning on getting Doctor, master B is the wise choice when melee

I've been a Pikeman for 6 days (including today). I will be mastering it today 1-2 hours after I get home from work. The only reason i was able to this so fast is because of Master Brawler.
Intimidate 2 and Warcry 2 are unbeliveable. And both are also great in PvP.
I recondend that anyone who needs to master an elite melee prof get master brawler first.
