I recently picked up Pikeman and I'm liking it quite abit but there is one thing that kind of disturbs me. What is the optimal range on our weapons? The Long Vibro Axes I own all have a -48 to the hit modifier in all the listed ranges (0m, 3m, 4m) and the Vibro Lance has a puny +3 at all those ranges. Personally I have never seen a +tohit modifier above -50 on anything I've fought at any range. Is this intended? Seems rather weird that Pikeman should have such a hard time hitting their targets.

You have a Vibro Lance with +3 range mods? Are you sure about that? Most Vibro Lances have -30/-30/-30...Basic lances have small positive range mods, but not the Vibro polearms.

Basically, to answer your question, this is the way it has always been and it has always been a bane to pikemen everywhere.

Yes, I am sure about it. It also has very low HAM use. It's a dropped lance from Nightsisters though, if that makes a difference.

Then that is the very first Vibro Lance I have ever heard of with positive range mods!

are u sure it is a vibro lance and not a nightsister lance? nightsister lances r basic lances which normally do have positive numbers. All the vibro lances ive seen looted r all negative. If it is a vibro lance thou congratulations
