I have a pike I hold dear to my heart that is now 486/750 condition. Is there a best time I should repair it for optimum success?

I also have some vibro knucklers that I love, and they are about 650/959. Would the same ratio apply to them?

Finally, I have a 97% tool, should I do it myself or just give it to a master wep smith to do?

Thanks in advance,

Bleh can't add onto my post yet. But I wouldnt suggest doing it yourself, if you do succeed you will still lose about 200 from max condition. Find someone skilled at repair to do it for you

Repair it before they reach 200 or so, anywhere below that and your chance for a successful repair is very low. Also, take it to a ws with repair mods. (Or a Jedi, they have the new feature that they will never break a LS on repair, probably extends to anything they repair) That will help some, but there will always be a chance of failure, even with a 100% repair tool.

Dont let it's condition get to zero else, its jumps out of your hand's, running off into the distance, singing "We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard ....." only to realise its alone, all alone and then just falls over and dies.

Or did SOE scrap that idea.....

I try to wait as long as I possibly can.

Nothing like repairing a weapon with a condition of 700 and failing.

I had a piece of armor I tried to repair last night. It had 16K condition left on it and the repair failed. . .

Thanks all for the replies. I think I will repair just over half to be safe. Does anyone know where I can find a weaponsmith that has good repair capability?

Thanks again,
