whats stronger pikeman or swordsman(pvp and a lil bit of duel rated)

depends on the player and the wep.


Improved Impale is a 3.2 dmg multiplier while swordsman has to attacks that do 3.4 and 3.6. However, in pvp, there is no such thing as a 3 hit kill unless youre a horrible pvp'er so expect a long fight. In that respect, pikeman weps generally have a lower sac than 2 handed swords so a pikeman can spam 3.2 damage more often than a spwrdsman's 3.6. More often than not, I beat swordsman this way as well as most combat profs. With a sac powerup, my wep has a sac of 60, which allows me to spam inproved impale every second for about 90 seconds.

your forgetting that swordsmen has armor brake

when i was swordsmen with my hammer, i could hit ranged players for up to 1700 dmg, melee players for about 1200-1500 and master defenders for 1000-1200

i haven't been able to do these numbers w/ pikemen, but that is probably b/c i don't have armor brake =/


people keep saying that improved impale should be the default attack, i need to try this out

Intimidate negates armor break. Ive tested this many times.


My template also has armor break (not advanced armor break but it still helps out a lot)


Also, warcry is a macro killer.



Add to that doc 4-0-0-0 and I will heal any damage they can dish out. Usually I wait until they use all of their action and then go to work.

Get both! Swordsman is a great complement to pikes, since it gives you Armor Break and Crit Strike, which goes along with Warcry and Intimidate to put some serious hurting on both a player's offensive and defensive capabilities. If you're looking for one, though, I'd personally tell you pike. Debuffs are amazing in PvP, because even though you might not be dishing out the most damage ever in the history of SWG, neither will they Pair it with doc, and you last a very long time, and if you're in big PvP (i.e. more than 2-3 players involved) or PvE, that's pretty much all you need.

k well im really actually looking for a temp that would go most strong againist mostly jedi ,cause once i find that temp ill b able to beat many profs if im able to beat some of the stronger jedi: )
but only reason im going tk is cause i heard its good againist jedi,thyen i heard pikes good in pvp and it sound slike fun with area kd,then swordsman is prob strongest melee


so really if u hand out a good tmep that can rock in pvp and beat jedi ill defienatly go with it ,
o also thx for all ur feedback i appreciate it

A good template i have found is MSwords/Mpikes/4000 Doc. YOu only get the 250 CoB but with intimidate and warcry they won't hit you as often anyways so that negates that. Then, you get somehigh energy resist battlearmor sliced 75% armor break reduction and the jedi's ability to deal damage to you is severly depleted. Then, you need to get some ADK's for the helm/chest/legs so they don't decay too fast on you and also have a high dmg low sac hammer and pike since both can be useful in combat.
