Thread: PIke speed +12 for all pikeman and melee

Hey guys,


I dunno where you all stand witht he ne jedi changes and all. How ever it has presented its self with a great oppitunity for us pikeman who are far from speed capped.


I suggest (as I am doing now) to get force sensitive and pick up and grind up the force sensitive tree of combat prowess in melee speed. If you get all 4 blocks you get +12 in total to ALL melee profs. Thats halfway to capping your pikeman speed and evenjust the +12 would make a onciderable diffirence for those hwo have no pike speed attachments.

I have +14 and this will cap me which i am excited about.


I strongly recommend those who feel they need more speed in pikeman to try and attain these blocks. A couple of POIs and badges and you qualify. small time investment for some well needed skill addition.

Ohh I forgot to mention each of these skill blocks only cost 1 skill point to get so for 4 skill points you get +12 to speed.

Downside? Waiting for the specific phases to run through so you can unlock the lines you need to start training. Also, during Dageerin's Phase 2 quest, I think the reward is a permanent +30 melee speed item. At least that's what the guide on the Test Center board mentioned.

Ignore that. I was trusting a jedi, who I'd have expected to know what he was talking about, but he apparently didn't. Latest info I've hear is that it's a straight +12 to speed. Yay!

I read on one of the guides to FS skills that it is a 12% increase in your speed mod , not a plain +12. Anyway added to my +92 speed im capped on 6.5 speed weapons now , so it's a good thing to have.

Well this is frustrating.

Theory 1: Straight addition = player mod + fs mod = +87 speed at master
Theory 2: Wonky equation = (1 - player mod/100) * (1 - fs mod/100) * weapon * delay = +78 speed at master
Theory 3: Percent increase = player mod + (player mod * (fs mod/100)) = +84 speed at master

I haven't been able to find any hard evidence for any of them, and the Jedi FAQ seems to suggest they're not quite sure themselves. Anyone have any good links that might help with figuring out which is right?

Well something definatley happens. I took the FS melee speed.

I had 82 in speed before, and had some noticable delays when using most of my weapons which had over 3 in speed. Now there is a big difference. I will have to do some testing here.. but either way it seems like I hit basicly once a second with even my speed 6 pikes.


Ill try it out properly when I get back home.

persoanlly i think this is a god send. i dont have to spend 1mil per point on tapes again, so to cap i just use my ubese shirt, camo pants, and master brawler. spamming area 2 with an NSEL never looked so good....

Well I have open FS it is +12 speed +12 Accuracy. Witch is good but it will not be a quick journey. At 1FS pt to 30pt for pike and 1pt FS to 3pt combat. It going to take you a wail to achieve +12 point so do think it is an instant once you get FS. But I am more interested in the melee defense my self I forget what it is but I think it is Enhanced Reflexes: Melee Defence [+20 melee defence]correct me if I am wrong. I all ready have skill tapes for speed and accuracy. So defense will be the first for me to go up. Also I was wondering to capitalize on the other two FS skills branches I am thinking of picking up a gun because I am a CH as of right now what the best combo for pikeman as a gunmen. Suggestion would be appreciated.

Those of you who live and mainly die by looted high damage looted weapons may want to consider the Melee Accuracy +12 skills.
