I am a holopikeman, though I have learned to enjoy my time as one and plan on sticking around, my pistol got boring. I know I am much more useful in a group, with full composite on and a healer behind me(maybe a pet beside me) I find myself actually standing out in the group. With my pistol I just shot at anything that moved like everyone else and got lost in the crowd. I have a fencer on another server and really enjoy the melee classes. If our accuracy gets better so I don't run into a string of misses 8+ long I think we could really enjoy bashing people around. Even my smuggler didn't miss that much and he has the same amount of accuracy mods as my pikeman. Hopefully this patch helped out a little on that note. Can't wait to get home, die and watch my composite deteriate.

Oh I'm not leaving just yet, but that doesn't mean I can't complain along the way lol, in ten days I'll have it mastered and be worrying about how to make enough money to buy anything.

shouldn't this have read more like:

A mysterious voice says "you are doomed to spend the next week grinding 12 hours a day on huurtons, if you choose to not follow this path you are eternally doomed to lick the boots of real jedi players, if you do take this path you will be completely ignored by the staff and eternally doomed to suck @ss in any combat situation"

Sure it's a bit long but it's certainly more to the point. I'm not posting this because I didn't expect to get the least popular profession just above the one I seek, it's because I'd like to show my disdain for the dev's neglect of this profession, nonsensory way of allowing players to unlock FSS, and because I can.

he won't be the onlyone leaving this igonred .. neglected, .. broken profession as soon as he masters it.. my holo is putting me though this as well .. i bette get an fs slot for this...


on the other hand vibro lance looks sorta nice..

I plan on once i finish this holo foolhardyness to put my weapons in order on display .. showing professions mastered to get there..

I myself prefered being able to solo most any npc/creature with smuggler/pistolleer/BH, melee just isn't for me I think, but I'm almost of master offence now woopie!

I guess I am one of the same as alot of you are, I was a Master Heavy Swordsman and received my first Holo Yesterday and it told me to master Pikeman. Ahh well at least it was another combat profession so I dont have to give up MCH and medic. Looks like I too will be hunting Huurtons on dant, and a recommendation for all. Once you are high enough go out and kill FS npc's janta's kunga's etc. Very nice xp you get from them 4-5k with 400-500 combat xp. Thank god I banked 300k of combat so once i hit apprentice the hard work will be done.

I am a pure breed, forget the Holocron, I enjoy my professions too much to give up Pikeman/medic/Ch

Sorry to ask as a newbie to the profession, but what is neglected in this profession? I made novice this morn around 3 am and began testing out the vibro lance. I tried things that were hard with my pets and my pistol skills(pistoleer 2/2/2/3). I walked into a lair of veermoks with three alpha's, and completely obliterated them with ease, where with my pistol and pet i had way more trouble, not that i could not do it with pistol just saying it was harder with pistol and pet then with the vibro. I think even after i master pikeman for my holocron, i will keep as much of pikeman as i can, it is saweeeeeet.
