yes, this definetly proves he can spell out pike... but how does that apply to pike-man?

well, in update/patch notes pikeman does not appear. In questioning one of the Devs, they seemed confused by the word Pikeman, and stated something to the effect of, "Oh, you must mean polearm".

That tidbit was just a bit of proof that Devs can indeed spell pike, even if they don't know what to do with us.
