After having almost Mastered Pikeman after 5 days or so of solid play I have to say Pikeman is a great class in PvE when buffed.

I can tank and take damage for 3-4 Pikets at a time or 6-7 Huurtons and drop them all using the great Area Moves but when it comes to fighting unbuffed we are useless.

If a Pistoleer+BH can spam StoppingShot every second for 1000a ham cost of 70-80 why are we losing 150-200 to use Polearm Hit which does similar damage and is much slower.

Pikeman needs Ham reduced.

Yep. This is the biggest problem that I see with this class since I've picked it up. I am just unable to play this class without getting buffs. The HAM costs of our specials are way out of line compared to other classes. I was a Master Carbineer and I thought that class had it rough with HAM costs, but it is nothing when compared to Pike.

So we do have worse HAM than what I thought was the class with the worst HAM costs? Thunderheart himself even, when he played last weekend, said the carbineer HAM costs were too high. If ours *are* worse, then this is definitely something we need to push for getting fixed.

Meh...put a graul mauler in the way.

I'm a CH and I also can use Stim D's. Because I have a pet, I don't need to wear armor and with powerups, I can use my LVA and only use about 101 HAM. Mostly Health, but my stats are like 600 and 700 in the Health substats, so it's not too bad. Then I just heal myself as necessary.

Keep in mind, though, someone using a Power Hammer with specials uses just about as much HAM as a Pikeman does. Say 96 as opposed to 101.

I think we loose all the ham because the pikes are really really heavy
