Thread: Here is my best pole , what your ???
Im a novice Pikeman on Sunrunner (maybe the only who knows)
after spending alot of miss with a Long vibro Axe (50% wound , 107-369, speed 3.7 (Sliced) Accuracy mod -55)
i found out the fantastic world of Vibro Lance (Wound 22%, 90-298, speed "2.7" (Sliced) Accuracy mod -22)
Since the dmg is electricity and about every mobs has a vulnerability against it i think its my best weapon (even if i can lay 2k dmg with the Vibro axe VS 1.5kMAX with the lance... Maybe a bug since i hit for alot less to electricity weak mobs).
Its the best because i hit faster and more often (i miss alot less ... still enough to drain my whole Trying to special the last 500health a mobs has).
So , what yours ???
Dont recall all the stats off hand but...LVA sliced to 2.9 speed drops to 2.6 with a Power Up, mid 100's to mid 300's in damage...and the usuall -1million Ranged Mod's

its3.7 speed 110-376 damage 52.5 wound, -41 range mods, crazy ham cost so I use buffs
and picked up some nice powerups that im using and im looking for a nice accuracy one

Not a bug, the LVA has medium armor piercing and the VL only light armor piercing, so coupled with the higher damage numbers, the LVA will always hit harder. I personally will stick with my LVA as my primary and the VL when there is something that would be advantageous to use it against. But for novice pikemen, the VL is definitely a better choice because of the better range mods.

My long vibro axe has done the same. 3k of dmg , happen quite often but most of the time is around 2.5k on special move
For the VL vs LVA ... i can'T figured out why i should use a weapon that pierce througharmor for higher dmg when i can use one the MOBS has a vulnerability against him... (should be getting higher dmg sometime because i could hit him on a weak Vulnerable spot)
Vulnerability is something else i have problem with, all resist has a % while vulnerability is just a - .. what does it mean ???
I have done a bunch of testing and trys with both LVA's and Vibro Lances. My best Axe sits 100-403 Dam, 81/64/25 hams with 4.8 speed and -58 to hit. My best lance is 92-295 damage, 58/82/31 hams, -31 to hit and 3.0 speed.(both sliced) Latley I have been finding that as long as the target is vunerable to electricity, the faster lance is definatley the way to go with the astoundingly better to hit modifier. At almost twice the speed (with power up it is) I can do about the same damage and throw out any specials much faster. A little hint, using sweep to an immediate warcry will keep your target on the ground. I have also found metal staff on bazaar that actually has a damage over time effect on it. I just found this item and have yet to really see it work with the DOT but I am curious for sure. Take care and try a lance, you wont wiff anywhere close to as much.

No, no, that's bad, that's bad, no, that's really BAD...
DON'T USE LVA. At least don't use 'till you hit Advanced Support. You'll get your first Acc modifier there. But before then, stick with Basic Lances or Vibro Lances. If you're on Eclipse, I can help you grab some.
BUT JESUS, DO NOT USE LVA AS A NOVICE (or worst, before novice)!!!
The LVA typically does 50% more damage than the VL (don't forget to take armor piercing into account).
Balancing that, the LVA misses 20-25% more frequently.
For long fights where most of your damage is just the auto-attack stuff, I recomend the LVA to any and all. In fights where you just need to HIT the damned thing, where the bad guy has huge kinetic resists but weak electricity resists, and for special moves where your object is a state effect (stun, etc), go with the VL. Otherwise, I advise the LVA regardless of advancement.
As to the main topic of this thread, best weapons, I can't remember the stats of mine off hand. They're pretty crappy though. I've yet to find a weapon crafter on Kauri who can be bothered to make a high-end version of such a low-demand weapon. Guess I'll have to try to persuade the guild to go after nighsisters or something. Maybe if they can be convinced they'll get holocrons that way. HA!

And your lance. I'm spamming the boards with this today, my silence is broken. I'm still apprentice and I can hit 8 outta 10 with my LVA after I stun the mob with my lance. In a day of grinding I'll miss 2 times for all 1st swings with my LVA...AFTER...Stunning the mob. Try it, I'm not crazy, well maybe...but it works for me. Gotta 16% point blank power up, but I've tested this as much as possible and it certainly works quite well for me.
