If you convert to one of the 7 combat professions (Jedi, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Officer, Spy, Commando or Medic) then you will be level 22. If you convert to Entertainer or Trader then you will get the entire profession.
We will still be testing this extensively, converting from different templates, in the later phase of testing.

So I guess if your a pure Entertainer at a CL1 and you find that you don't like it in the new CU MkII then you can respec to some combat class at a level 1. So all the time and work you've put into the game over two plus years means nothing.
I'm hating it!
As a TKA that entertains in my placed camps/cantina during our group hunts I am not happy with these changes at all. Am I matter of fact all I feel is this thirst for blood, the blood of an executive. It's almost time for Chongo City! The city where the streets are drenched in blood!

I put it to everyone who reads posts quit if they want to destroy the game then let them lose the money while doing it.I just think that we should not stand by and allow them to nerf up our good game that we have going on. ***We've all been through this before with the first CU. Change is going to come in oneway or the other.***
Yes we have all found its flaws but what game does not have bugs.That is why we try and tell the dev. what they need to fix.That is one of the fun things about a MMO game is that you can help make the game better for the other people and yourself.So I say if this happens we all just quit I know I will and that you can hold me to.
Ok, let me make sure I understand this yet another brilliant area correctly. As a CL-1 I get the unique privilege of having 10 /respecs in to any CL-1 class? Wow, omg this is just sooo totally awesome! Wonder how long Bubba the Janitor took to come up with this, coz I’m 100% sure he is in charge of Entertainers.
They are aware that all I have to do is roll a random character on random server to know what random CL-1 feels like? Coz it sure takes lot less time then going the /respect screen route!
Plus being a CL-1 Entertainer since CU (which was another Bubba’s the Janitor idea) I believe I have a fairly good idea of what CL-1 anything feels like, however I would recommend that our esteem dev team tried it for a month at least. It may actually open their eyes a little to an aspect of game they are totally clueless about. Hmmm they do know that smoking crack while at work may not be the most smartest thing to do, don’t they?
I may be MD, MM and MID by choice, but I still think forcing it on anyone is an arrogant horse doo-doo. Hell, majority of people I know are hybrids and they are hybrids by choice, they were well aware of the drawbacks post CU yet they still made the choice to be so. And now they are being forced to choose again! And to top it all if they choose to go combat route they will become a gimped combatant to begin with regardless how old their character and/or account is, as oppose to any power-player nit-whit who just a month ago AFK-grinded to CL-80!?!? Yes, I truly can see how fair it is … uh-huh …maybe if I keep on repeating it over and over I may even start believing it …. NOT!!! Least they could have done is taken in account the age of the character/account and maybe give vets, I don’t know, 5 levels per each month of character/account active existence.
Past few months my RL has been insanely busy, very rewarding but busy as hell, so I only have time to log in maybe once a week. The truly sad thing is, now for the first time I actually don’t mind not being able to play as much as I used to.
And of course with even all this we are still not being added to the “real” game, we are still not welcomed in the “real” game, 95% of the content is still remaining closed to us. LoL so what else is new?
