Pikeman Weapons:
1.) VibroLance should be made Medium Armor Piercing
The Swordsman Scythe is Medium Armor Piercing Kinetic with 2.6 speed and around 300-330 max damage. This is better than the LVA and Swordsman has better speed, accuracy, defenses, and is able to target mind pool.
Would be only fair to boost the capabilities on the Pikeman Weapons.

If speed and accuracy are going to stay the same our weapons need to be improved. More damage or more AP, because at the moment we just don't compare.

EVERYONE makes a point but I believe I will make the most valid 1 (clears throat) SPEED! were slow as **edit** in battle TKA has total 115 speed fencer 90 and swordsman has about 75 (I think) and us pikeman have 70 AND! a weapon that attacks 4,5 seconds now u say oh but swordsman has 75 wow only +5 YAH! but the sythe blade when sliced correctly can have 2,5 speed compare that to a slice of a LVA witch can do 3,2 isif your LUCKY! now some mightsay oh yah but pikeman have area KD yah that only knocks doen 3 of the 5 targets attacking u and my best was 5 all at once I did that once and ONLY once and I find the our Center of being is inefective and about the Vibro lance I dunno about u other pikeman but I think its a piece of **edit** not worth the metirial its made of it sticks I do max damage of about 1500 and I've seen tka and fencers do like 3000 without the VK its time for a change were supose to be hard hitting then give us the the AP3 pike that would make ALL!!!! pikeman happy if it had like 3,0 attack speed Heavy armor piercing, 250-500 damage and a low ham cost BUT! u should only get it at master

All I know is that I spent umpteen hours enjoying the process ofbecoming a master pikeman. I love my profession and am saddened by the fact I am not competent in PvP battle. (PvE is fine, due to area attack - boring - with immobile and relatively dumb combatents). Why can't we be as revered as a TKM? Where is my chance to shine? I just want a fighting chance. How is it that having a large, powerful (suposedly) and yet graceful weapon is a DISSADVANTAGE in battle. I look good, I have a swagger about me, but I am a paper tiger. Pike is my first love, and I feel I must betray this in pursuit of competiveness. The thought of becomming another of the countless TKM's makes me feel down, as if Ihad consumed all the spices in China.

IMO "Speed" is the biggest issue. Almost, if not every other profession caps DPS at master.
Pike does not. We require tapes and segments to reach our full potential.
That requires adjustment. I shouldent have to augment my profession to reach
full potential, Max potential yes ... i should have to use addons to reach my
max potential, but not the full potential of master.
Defense is next in line, we take more damage then anybody.

toughness yes.
speed NO.... we should be the hardest hitters and the NSEL should be heavy AP.

Has anyone else noticed that tka and swordsman can attack one pool (mind) and hardly touch the other pools, however all our attacks spread over all 3 pools. leghit is actually the attack that seems to concentrate best , action.

I'd like to see the problem of posture down / KD sorted so when we use Hit3 on a KD target it doesn't spring them straight back up.

Is far from the only move I use, but I was always aware that the posturedown on a KD targetwassomething that was waiting to be fixed,but if I was wrong and that is the way it was meant to work I stand corrected

Damage:
According to the description, Pikeman are "The hardest hitting melee profession." However, this is not reflected in the game. Polearm damage is mediocre at best, and needs to be increased
Suggested Solutions:
1) We need our Polearmhit3 modifier to be a x4 attack instead of a x3 attack
3) Heavy AP should not be out of the question for a hard-hitting profession, especially fora melee profession with short range and (easily-defended against) Kinetic damage.
Accuracy:
Two months ago, a change was made to polearm weapon accuracy mods. This change was a band-aid to tide us over untill the combat balance. However, the combat balance has now been delayed and accuracy is still an issue for us.
Suggested Solution:
At ideal rages, Long Vibro Axes and Vibro Lances should have positive range modifiers.
Defenses:
Pikeman have very low defenses, mainly toughness. This affects us negatively as we take more melee damage than any other melee profession.
Suggested Solution:
Change the +4 toughness modifiers in boxes 3 and 4 of the brawler profession to +10.
Block:
Block is ineffective, and needs to be balanced to dodge.
HAM costs:
Pikeman have huge HAM costs. With the combat balance delay, we request a decrease in our HAM costs as a temporary measure untill the new HAM system is in place.
'Extra Issues'
Spin/AOE:
These two attack stylescomprisenearly half of our profession. However, there is very, very little difference between them. AOE has status effects, whereasSpin hashigher damage. Something needs to be changed to seperate these two types of attacks away from one another better. Also, Stun and Stun2 are rendered useless when compared to polearmhit2, polearmhit3, and AoE2, and should be redone to give more variation to the profession.
Uniqueness:
Pikeman have excellent animations associated with our moves. However,each attack we have is either a clone or a semi-clone of other attacks in various professions. Pikeman need a skill/ability/attack that is unique to the profession and viable to combat.
Energy Lance:
Axkva Min's resistances need to be changed as to allow pikeman to deal damage to her. (Electricitcal or Kinetic damage types)
The Energy Lance needs a great increase in stats:
- Heavy Armor Piercing
- Higher Maximum Damage
- Improved disease dots

looks like basicly the same list as when i stoped playing.....so the great balance pass never happend a?

I'd like to see a slightly extended range for Pikeman without having to Lunge. We should be able to hit targets much further away than a TK can.
