1. I'm quite partial to the "Foot Soldier" title. That's what I wear all the time.
2. Does anyone actually like the "Expert Pikeman" title? Why not just wear the "Master Pikeman" title? I'd think that if anything this one needs to be changed to something cooler. Maybe "Expert Pikeman" -> "Striker", since that's the tree w/ all the accuracy mods. I dunno. I'd like to see this title get changed. It's just so un-creative.
Not meaning to diminish anyone's opinion or votes but I'm seriously struggling to realize how some people think to vote like that.
I mean oh my God, Dragoon? What's with everyone getting stuck up with cheezy titles and mobs from other games is beyond me.I'd rather wejust picked up the NS rank titles and be done with it than getting a title like Dragoon. Did any of you actually go check what Dragoons were historically? Do we REALLY need to be co-related with something off game? And no mounted combat refferencesplease, I've seen enough people picking Pikeman for no reason lately don't need to push it into becoming FOTM...
And Striker, since when are we soccer players? Not to mention midfielder would look nicer and more on par with our skill setup...
Halberdier is actually nice assuming we're always using the LVA that looks like a halberd, Lancer has the same issue, assuming we always use a lance, but at least those two make more sense and reffer to Polearm wielding people. Ah well, choices choices.
I don't want anyone to start spitting that I'm defending my choice but I'm trying to figure out how such unreasonable things get picked by everyone, are we looking for something that looks nice as a word or do we need something descriptive of the tree each title represents? Anyway hope I didn't break up the thread that much...
Dragoon
A member of a European military unit trained and armed to fight mounted or on foot.
tr.v. dra·gooned, dra·goon·ing, dra·goons
To subjugate or persecute by the imposition of troops.
To compel by violent measures or threats; coerce.
-------------------
Moving on horseback but fighting on foot, dragoons first appeared in the mid-sixteenth-century French army.
-------------------
The 16th, 17th and 21st Lancers all had their origins in the Light Dragoon Regiments raised by George III in 1760. The 16th were granted the title of The Queen's Light Dragoons and the 17th assumed their distinctive death's head motto, in memory of General Wolfe, who had been killed at Quebec in 1759. The 21st Light Dragoons were disbanded in 1763, but the 16th and 17th remained and were next to see action side by side in the American Revolution 1776 - 83.

All I'm saying is.. you're wrong. ![]()
Although, reading more and more... Dragoon was originally a french army thing.. so maybe I DON'T want it...
