TKA are far superior in combat and they get Meditate. Please enhance the class, we need more defence, we have half the basic defences and bonuses in most cases than a TKA. Its a nice class but it needs to be improved.

I jus got Novice Pike last night,.so far PvE is not bad. But yeah,..PvP is jus plain sorry,..needs some serious balancing. I mean this fellah asked me to kill him so he could lose his tef or whatever,..took me so long ta kill him ( even with him spamming peace and laydown) that the dude went LD!!

I am playing a pikeman for a simple reason. I am role playing a character I played in the Paper Star Wars game. I was a wookie, and used a vibro-axe and light repeater. I found the vibro-axe to be lacking and pikeman seemed to fit with the concept better. I am a working man with a family so I only get a few hours a week to play. I do not have the luxury of surrendering my pikeman levels to start over. It has taken me weeks to get this far. I have noticed that my class is weaker than most of my friends who are bounty hunters or pistoleers. But I will wait and understand their are thousands of bugs to squash. Just dont forget us.

It isn't so much that the need to fix us that we complain about....we understand that takes time, and they may have more pressing issues. But every patch they make us worse. How many times have you read the new patch description while you where loading it and said,"DAMMIT!!!".....now how many times have you done the same thing and said, "sweet!!!"?

and 0-Sweets(something that actually benifits pikeman in some noticable way.

no one noticed but we used to get +15 and then +20 to speed in our 4/0/0/0 tree.....now we get +15 and +15

this hapend after the first BIG patch....but it was not mentioned in the patch report.

so now it looks like they are slipping nerfs in behind our backs too...

oh yeah.....and i checked thuroly to see if they mentioned anything about the speed decrease.

I also have a noob pikeman and a noob heavy swordsman also...I'm a glutton for punishment. Fix all melee please. Pikemen first. Hell, we're all gimp. But after seeing some of the Pikeman high end weapons with HUUUUUGE penalties to hit. I was like...maybe being a Gimper isn't so bad after all...

It's about time melee in general got some kind of help, especially pikemans. I'm a master pikeman and the only way i somewhat survive now is with some pistol skills i was FORCED to take up. Thank you SOE for making play the game how i DIDN'T want to.
