OOC:Cortosis Ore..weave... something along those lines, I think. Been too long since I last played it. You could, however, assume that since thentechnology has advanced a bit. (Also note that every instance of a Vibro Weapon in that game, as far as memory serves, was equiped with the Cortosis-sumthin-or-another).

Eridos stumbled off-balance, the end of his pike drifting through the air as it, and its owner, fell to the ground. It was as though Eridos had been struck by that last blow, dead, before he fell. But realization dawned as he began to smirk, snatching the broken fronthalf of his weapon from the air and bringing the deadly, poisoned tip upon his opponent. There was a thud, dull with the muted impact, and then a sickening crack as the force of the blow took full effect on Ciet's leg.

The bone had cracked under the immense force, all of Eridos' strength having been behind the blow. Not to mention, the armor had torn slightly, ever so slightly, just enough to draw blood and deliver the poison. Adrenaline cancelled most of the pain for Ciet, at least for the moment, it would come back to get him later... But, the intensity of the attack still registered in his mind as he began to fall, his leg unable to support the weight of his stance anymore. Eridos regained his feet and snatched up Ciet's lance, drawing away from the blazing light of the saber, and putting enough space between him and his foe to allow the poison to take its full, direct effect.

That attack, he thought, shouldn't kill the man; but I now hold the upper hand. The smirk he had before was now gone, and his mood had shifted from the bliss of a successful counter, to that of deadly professionalism. His enemy, while now injured and poisoned, hadused a lightsaber... A red one at that--he must have gotten the sith.

Now, he had to kill the man. Two bounties was better then the one, and with Ezekeal nowhere in sight, he would be able to claim the bounty for himself. There was only loyalty between the two when money wasn't involved, for the sake of descretion, letsjust sayEzekeal had a few outstanding debts... Nothing that his share of the bounty wouldn't have been enough to cover, but more then is mentionable. The question was, did the man before him even know how to handle a weapon with any degree of skill? He himself had been a fencer long before he was a pikeman, playing with sticks when he was young and having mock-fights with his friends. Yet, even he was unskilled with such a weapon.. And his vibro blade wasn't anywhere near Tatooine...

OOC: If you've ever played Knights of the Old Republic, "vibro" weapons are supposedly built to withstand combat with a jedi lightsaber. So, unless you chop your own lance in half, or disable the vibro unit, I can still block with the pike... Just not with the sword.

OOC: Thought that was only with vibro weapons built with cortosis ore? No matter, I'll think of something tonight.

OOC: Sounds right to me, just making sure before I write something totally off.

Eridos dropped the lance uncerimoniously to the ground, bringing his right hand to his belt to fumble for the ticket he had stuck there... His own ship ride out had arrived, headed for the imperial controlled Kor Vella. There, he planned, he could retrieve his reward before making another stop. An almost forbidden stop. Dathomir had many secrets, but there was one in particular that bothered him. One that had made an appearance that day, providing a new lead to follow...

Dathomir held many secrets indeed.

The ship shuddered with the impact of the atmosphere and the sudden friction. Heat registires went up, and the hull shook a little more violently, but Eridos wouldn't have considred it so much of a rough descent. The angle was good, and he would be on the surface of Dathomir within 20 minutes. He had approached from the night side, hoping to get low enough to skirt any detection systems that might have interfered with an otherwise unnoticed entry. After all, he wasn't so sure that he would be as welcomed as he hoped.

People talk a lot on densly populated worlds. It had been easier then one might have thought to learn of this secret cult of jedi hunters, the ones that had show their faces on Tatooine. Of course, it all depended on who you knew, and where you put the pressure. People nowadays had begun to despise the Bounty Hunter profession, disregarding it as a mockery to the rest of society. Too bad for them, they never truely understood that there's so much more to it than big guns and big money. There was the sublte side, the intel side.. The patient side. You had to know how to watch and wait as much as you had to know when to strike.

Eridos had to admit, though, he loved the strike much more then the wait. He, however, did not find the wait dispising. He knew that there must be the time of rest before the time of action, and that if the moment of the strike was not perfect, all could be lost. Fortunatly for him, he was ready to strike.

The ship glided peacefully into a hollow below a wide ridge, which provided enough cover to keep it out of sight and out of mind while he located the entrance to enclave. It wouldn't prove easy, he had noticed several bands of nightsisters wandering the area as he descended, and he was almost positve they had noticed him. For several hours he moved through the forest, never stopping more then a few short minutes for fear of being caught by the enigmatic and dangerous force wielders. Eventually, he began to tire, and thought of returning to his ship. He had flown into the dawn, out of the nightside, when he landed, and now it was nearly dusk.

Something caught his eye as he turned away. A door, hidden heavily in underbrush and positioned between two trees in such a manner that from any other angle it would be unnoticable, even from up close. But there was a slight glimmer, a reflection of the sun on some metal object that should not have been in the steamy jungle. He moved closer to examine the door and whatever object had caught his attention, finding a strange device that he had never seen before. He reached out to touch it, but stopped short. The hand instead reaching behind him to pull out his Long Vibro Axe.

He felt movement behind him.

The hand instead reached behind him to pull out his Long Vibro Axe.

OOC: There you have it, a post after so long of... Nothing... You even have a place to build off of. And it doesn't have to be aplayer characterbehind me. Rancors, nightsisters, angry cult members, the old guy from the laundramat, hell... I'll take anything! Just post!
