Thread: Armor or no armor?
Part 2. Secondary stats play a huge role in fighting, your HP regeneration rate is taken into effect. The amount of Damage you deliver to a creature or player it taken into effect. Go ahead and lower all of your secondary stats and see how you do. You will find it quite interesting.

This hasn't been my experience at all, unless you augment your secondaries with spice, or doc buffs. Just look at how fast you regen, even with a600 recharge. It's nothing, compared to the rateyou take damage from hits, and from doing special attacks. On the other hand, I have 650 willpower, and when I takea muon gold for another 500,that'squitenoticeable.
Also, Iseem to hit just as hard with 50 strength (wearing full composite) as I do with 500. The special attack cost ishigher, but the damage I do isjust as good. Ican go into a room of tuskens and destroy two warlords, a captian, and a few raiders and snipers, all at the same time, with area attacks - IknowI'm doinggreatdamage, even with 50 strength. Have you observed something different?
Armor makes a humongous difference for me. 0030 swordsman and I use full suit of 65 - 70% Kinetic Ubese with a Krayt Composite helm at 62% vs. all (only 145 mind encumberence, 45% enc. slice!!)
I recommend a similar path, you might want a composite helmet for surprise PvP encounters from Bounty Hunters if you like to be Overt.
With Intimidate 2 from MBrawler and a full suit of armor, and a Stun attack, I take maybe 10 - 12 dmg per hit from yellow and some red con mobs.
I rock full ADV comp armor, experimented for ham, the resists are around 20-30% but the HAM costs are lower than padded! With this i can use any special without fear of incapping myself, and you all know we dish out more damage and faster than almost anything we fight

You can use food to offset the HAM costs. I have some bio-engineered Breath of Heaven that adds +1030 to focus/quickness/strength. Also, If Im not buffed I usually take some Neutron Pixie as well.
I love armor and use it all the time, but I usually try to stay buffed too.

I am currently Master Swords/doc 2002 and am currenly working towards TKM. I haven't played since January (so all this combat upgrade stuff is confusing) and I've been messing around with a few different skills. I read about the "innate" armor that TKA get and am wearing refitted padded armor now. When I hit TKM, should I wear armor or not wear any armor?
Also, off the original topic..
Should I have an auto-attack set? I use melee strike as my auto attack but sometimes it is hard to tell whether I just used a special or not. I just repeatably pushing my specials hotkey and hoping that I just used it, but have no real way of telling whether I did or not.
1) Innate is the most powerful armor besides being a Jedi. Just go out fighting naked. It's fun and rewarding.
2) I only use auto-attack when fighting ranged. As TKM / M. Swords, I go back and forth on Critical Strike and Headhit for the most part. If you look at the cooldown timers, you'll see that if you hit one, the other is ready before the first one's cooldown timer is done. I, of course, mix things up other than these two, but when I'm in a good, large group, I sometimes only get a couple hits in before we're on to the next creature.
lvl 80 wook+health buff+food+health buff crystal+powerboost= wookiee with 6k health. add improved CoB and ranged and melee defense bio clothes and i am unstoppable
