I agree with the solution of making kd have less damage... maybe even down to one... its a defensive move and should reflect that status. To me there seems little point in having a move and, in fact, a whole tree which has a nice little animation of someone or something falling down, but can then get back up before you have a chance to hit them again. I am even using a lva that was built more for speed than for damage, with a 3.4 speed attack... Before the patch I was a pikeman at 1/1/2/1 and I successfully defended myself against two female narglachs who attacked in a slight delay from one another... Afterwards I was brought down easily by one alone... I find my continual misses to be a constant problem, even after Ive attained support abilites 2 with the increased accuracy it brings... Im not sure whether I should give it up at this point and go to the noticably superior swordsman or maybe just abandon melee altogether

Hi fellow Pike brothers and sisters, I started the game as a brawler, last night I made Master Brawler, I'm also concentrating on Pikeman which by the way im 2,2,3,2. I'm also a creature handler, so my whole character is based on Melee all the way even my pets. I'm using the bonuses you get from Master Brawler to fill any holes in the Pikeman profession which I believe it has only a few, the profession is great and challenging which is what I'm looking for.


I always try to use different moves, different tactics, I study the way people fight, mobs fight etc. I like to use alot of strategy in all of my fights. Try to combine and make your own formulas for what type of moves are more effective on different NPC and humans. Most of the melee fighters problems is that they spam way too much on a certain move, if you think about in a real fight if I see you using the same moves I'll be ready to defend myself against the same move over and over again.


I hope this would help any brother or sister brawler/pikeman out there. Experiment on different things, I'm having a great time on this game and you guys should too.

Pike is broke. We are a joke. (hey that rhymed!)


ALL I want is a message from the devs, holo, Chewbacca, Yak Face, Aquaman, anyone telling me either they are working on fixing Pike or not. If they aren't I just wanna surrender the skill points and do something else. Very painfully surrender the skill points considering the time and effort it took to climb the pike trees.

yeah, I've spent to much time to give up the pikeman skills now. But if the devs have no intention of doing anything than I would like to know because as it is, I feel my time has been wasted. My main problem is the fact that we seem useless to a group, or even worse, a burden because we don't give enough help other than absorbing damage for everyone else at this point. If we use our specials, we are probably less help because we die faster giving the creature more time to attack everyone else. And it is pretty sad when the only help we can provide in groups is taking the hit for everyone else.
