Ok regardless of what day it is i must lend support to leggy. I also am in the know on this subject.I do not work for soe but am one of the lawers intrusted to see continuity with lucas's grand vision and all SOE changes tothe game must first be approved by my panal.
The only thing that seems to be off with leggy's post is the stun damage weap. I do not believe this to be leggy's fault that the info is off but it seems something got lost in translation. The addition of the weapon which has a new damage type is designed to bypass most armor. I figure you assumed that meant stun :however; it is really restraint damage. The weapon is the FORCE pike and to keep in line with the damage type delt by force weilding individuals restraint was chosen and also to keep in line with star wars lore it will be ap3.
I hope i both helped to clear things up and to keep leggy from beinig unfairly tar and feathered.

you almost had me legwand. then i read about the mind attacks, the double dot weaopns, and the icing on the cake was the flying mounts. then i remembered what day it was and laughed. good april fools joke

Sounded pretty good until you got to weapons that do stun damage and/or have mind fire/mind poison--shyaright! Ok, if you said they were going to implement new Swordsman weapons with those or with AP3 or new TKA Vibroknucks that do AP2 Restraint damage, that I would believe, in fact I wouldn't be surprised by either as I know the Devs love to play those professions.

oh man...good april fool's joke... ALMOST as good as when they said that they were going to stop making UT 2004, and just release limited free versions...

Sorry guys, I couldn't help myself.
Yes, indeed, twas all an April Fools joke. I hope you all can forgive me.
I tried dropping hints along the way. The double DOT mind fire/poison should have given it away but I thought I'd go a step further with the mounted combat.
As someone pointed out, the whole mounted combat scenario comes right from the classic 80's game 'Joust'.
I hope you all enjoyed it.
