Pike /Doc is great !
especially considering PIke without buffs = self killing

i was a pike doc at one time, its a good combo
low dps, low speed, mediocre damage, crap defense, crap toughness, high loss of damage due to mitigation, block, weapon damage types, same moves/differant name and loot dependency are some of the problems that plague pikeman

Ah, just curious as my sister on kettemoor has taken up Pikeman (or Pikewoman I guess) from newbie. She says she has a great time hunting, though I think she's only hunting quenckers while buffed.

No, you DO have a good time with PIkeman. Look.... I decided to give it up and go into grinding holos much too quickly for my tastes. Maybe that's why I hadn't become disenchanted yet, the thrill was still new for me. I mean, was everything perfect? No. Could you go out and solo a nightsister elder? No. Can you take on higher end content than say, a fencer? Absolutely, just not the HIGHEST end content alone.
Besides, if it was completely unenjoyable and a worthless profession, do you think everyone would stick around for so long?

I am master pike/4-4-4-0 doc. Haven't decided if I am going to master doc yet or not. I love Pike as it is not what everyone is. It is alot of fun, but in my opinion as someone above said to get the good weapons you have to pay a kajillion dollars or loot like crazy. I have like 145 average looted pikes Speed is another problem in most cases. I am saving for SEA's to get my speed up and they are very expensive as every other pike is getting the same things. This is the way that it is on Bria FOR ME at least.
