What if the new system was:

Old Jedi:

The two character slots remain. The "main" character is left untouched. The "fscs" character receives the changes to it which allow it to be identical to the "fscs" created by new Jedi.

New Jedi:

The "main" character becomes "fscs" unlocking the ability to train as Novice Jedi. I imagin all the Jedi trees will become structured like other professions with skill points and apprentice points being required. Once the "main" character is unlocked as a "fscs" character they are also granted a second charater slot that is "non-fscs".

Summary:

This way old and new Jedi alike will have the same benefits. Each will have two characters, each will have an equal capability Jedi. Everyone happy?

Old way = You unlock your FSCS with your main

New way = You unlock your Non-FSCS with your main

I think if this was the case, they would just leave it the way it is. They are going through a lot of programming just to make something backwards this way.

No, no programming is needed to give me 2 characters on every server. You already can have 6? on TC.

w/ a fencer weapon equipped you will only have *Dodge* and your "Defense Vs. "

counterattack, block, defense acuity only work w/ there profession

and block is pretty much broke... u wanna have some nice defense pick up 1040 pistoleer it will cap u on dodge and make it hard as hell to put states on you (assuming you keep master fencer)

1. if a bh gets db by his mark, the mark gets the mission payout.the xp thatthe markwould've lost on db by bhgoes to mark. if bh clones, mark gets that 'clone penalty' xp as well. kinda like a trade off.

2. make it so only the bh with the mission gets TEF and the mark the same (promote 1v1 hunting). make mission completely random (payout and mark, skill level according), with only one mission per mark (server or whatever can do a scan of current on-line marks) from the terms.

3. if mark is db by bh, or bh db by mark, all visibility is reset to 0 and bh cannot hunt mark for a week or so. give mark a sort of buffer time (5 minutes or so) to get outta area since a group may have formed to keep visibility down.

just a suggestion. lemme hear you. anything that is wrong with this or right for that matter? i think it's a good way to balance out the situation and make it a bit better for both ends.

Ok here's what I see as the problem. On number one you said mark gets mission payout... now I'm a little edgey on mark getting XP but the fact that the mark gets the mission payout just dosen't make sense.

Why? The person paying the BH either hasn't paid yet or paid the BH Guild, which isn't going to pay the BH until they complete their mission (BH guild could be seen as a "middle-man"). In any case, there is NO way the employer of the BH would just hand that money over to the Jedi.

As far as Jedi getting XP I would like to understand your reasoning on that. I'm not a Jedi so that may be why I don't get it.

And by mark getting cloning XP do you mean they get XP when theBH clones??

I don't see a problem with the mark getting XP if a BH loses, but if you think about it a BH gets maybe 300 BH xp [EDIT - sorry, got 300 BH xp, I haven'thunted a Jedi since recent fix] upon completing their mission - I'm master BH I don't even need that! Also, the Jedi didn't do much to earn it they just gimped a BH - I don't see how a 'council' or even the dark Jedi's friends would reward them for this - they did it out of selfishness and it didn't help any of their groups just themselves - so I think they could gain back XP but limit it to much less than of what they lose, this way there's still some control over Jedi, so Jedi won't be hitting Knight-Hood in two days when they tell all their BH friends to attack them while prone from 2 meters away (thus JK kililng BH repeatedly and nobody pays for the mountains of XP... sounds almost like the credit dupe to me...).

Well hope I didn't invade the forums too much but I think you should hear both sides, and I think I've covered BH side, if not maybe another BH can contribute.

the part about the jedi having bh friends to let them kill did cross my mind. this is just something to stop all the whining part about no reward for fighting bh. what about instead of mission payout and xp, the mark gets the mission payout converted to xp to a certain amount...a cap if you will.
