I am aware of the presence of Jawa Ion Rifles. I should add that few riflemen use them all of the time, they do tend to favour those T-21's which are pretty damn effective. I do have a single stun layer in my Helmet, an option that is not always easy to get on decent helmets, which takes care of this situation. Another option is to carry a second helmet for foes whom you know favour the jawa ion rifle.

Well with my experience in pikeman pvp all you really need to do is dizzy / kd and if the kd doesn't work lunge 1 and if that doens't work just polearm hit 3 2 times and hope lol. When you get them on the ground I always put a bleed on because I have a disease / poison health Nsissy and that seems to drain them pretty quick (intimidate and warcry is nice to put in just before you think they are going to get up as well or at the start of the battle.). The only proffession I really have a problem with is Tkm, I use composite armor all the time and I'm always buffed. Since I have set my mind to 950 with a stat migration downing 2 brandy and a muon gets me into the high 2k mind. Today just by myself I killed a Rifle man and a pistoleer.

I want to know what the best armor for a pikeman to wear is over all though it seems like a race between Ubese and Composite.

I would also like to know if you guys think Pikeman /Carbineer would help out with me vs Kd at all cause if I don't get knocked down by a TKm I have a chance.

And lastly how the hell do you guys take out atsts they kick my ass all the time. Is it the +25 speed/accuracy tapes?/

i went to the imperial outpost tonight, and was wrecking house there with my group. i took on 2 riflemen and won at one point. i was using 80% kinetic armor with 70% to everything else but stun. i was also using my nightsister energy lance. not that its the best weapon i have, i just wanted to disease the heck out of them, and its also the most accurate high end polearm i have. i could use a wood staff, but really, how much damage would i do.

tka's were falling easy, especially with my armor. riflemen tried to kite me, but burst run works wonders. fencers tried to dodge me, but intimidate2 took that away. combat medics were dizzy'd/kd's before they could toss a single poison. bounty hunters, too easy to hit. no defense+melee modifyer=easy win for me. yeah, i say pikemen are doing a lot better these days. i was surprised none the less. i thought i was going to get my arse handed to me. but i did surprisingly well.

oh yeah, i also had all my stats buffed except for my mind secondaries, but 2 brandies helped with that.

I see a lot of "Down brandy" and "mind fire pike," but that stuff is expensive as heck! So hey... how about some tips to make the money that is necessary to purchase this stuff.

A crate of brandy is 300k. I don't have that much myself. Let's start there.

The key to having access to great goods and services is to be well connected, to be part of a guild that has a degree of economic power. As guild Resource Manager, I get my Brandy, my Moun, my armour and assorted accessories free, because I harvest resources like crazy, because those goods get made with resources that I have been digging out of the ground since launch. Anyone willing to do a little work can easily be of benefit to the crafters that need support and earn their keep.

Any Master Pikeman who has good equipment and about 20k for travel, insurance and medical costs can get themselves buffed and go to Dathomir and farm themselves a nice supply of PvP quality Pikes and LVAS, along with all sorts of good stuff. I wouldn't buy a looted pike for anything, seeing as they are so easy to get. At Master Pikeman, you should be able to solo small groups of Nightsisters comfortably. I have no medical skill and I often have to go get fresh buffs, as I am out there so long. Of course you can take high level missions while you look for Nightsisters and their mighty loot and make hundreds of thousands of credits that way, to keep yourself supplied.

You can sell or trade your lower quality lances, or stockpile them for a rainy day, but that is another outlet for cash, if you want to do that.

i do pretty well in duels, im only 3/0/1/3 in pikeman right now (i had it mastered once, but it was cus of a holo, now im coming back) and i had a duel last night, i wasnt buffed or armored and my oponent was and he was a master rifleman, i started with polarm sweap and polearm hit 1 and i was doing major damage, if he wernt buffed he would have died i eventually did loose, but that was due to lack of armor and my mind not beeing buffed

I've also heard of people with 50% stun resistance on their Composite Armour.

The maximum stun resistance possible is 45%. Thats 3 protection layers at 15% apiece. Great protection, but ungodly HAM cost. Generally, anything over 10% per layer is good. Getting 40%+ higher from a 3 layer helmet is fantastic.

If someone has a 80% energy and 30%+ stun helmet, I'll just switch to strafeshot2 and see how good the rest of your armor is

And any pvp fight as a pikeman no matter the equipment will be inferior to any halfway decent tkm/rifleman. /shrug

good i don't want to be = or the most powerfull class .... we would have a million pikeman running around... not that im happy where we are now .... but i like the loot weapons and if we are on par with TKM/rifleman then bye bye uber loot pikes .... i think their great if you have looted any then you know what im talking about ..... i would like to see as for our class besides whats broke.. just same or slower but harder hits or more damage

Do pikeman do well in pvp. Really depends on the pikeman, I rarely loose in pvp, unless its to a severly well done template with very nice weapons.. My current template is tkm/pikeman/master brawler with alot of medic. I havent dropped master brawler yet because intim 2 is very useful in pvp. The DPS that I do in pvp is unreal, I will never drop pikeman Currently I have a poison on all ham bars.. all 225 + str with 75+% potency. I have a health and action disease and I have health and mind fire. I usually lay on as many dots as I can depending on how hard im getting hit.. then swap back to my baby. LVA stats with a pup are 4.2 speed.. 280min 1259max. Id have to say its legendary.. dropped from a ns elder with a speed slice. I paid alot.. but its worth every penny. Its -45 range modifiers but after defense stack nerf it does pretty well against capped opponents. Also have my damage and accuracy capped.. still need about +8 more speed to cap it out. Anywho, if any pikeman are on lowca.. send me a tell if your up for a duel. Only other pikeman I see on there pvping is -epic-.

P.S. if anyone on lowca has an energy lance for sell.. send me a tell

Theres a master Pikemen/brawler/TKM on my server, and hes one of the best PvPers I have ever seen. He only uses TKM for the defenses/meditation. I have seen him take out Master Fencers/Pistoleers/Brawlers, Master Pistoleers/BHs, and tons more.

Pikemen do good in PvP they are just hard to do good with.

if you could combo the tka def and run pikeman that is a very nice combination. though pikeman by itself will get you absoutely nowhere, i had master pikeman and i couldnt do any dmg by myself, but when i added tka i was able to do some serious whoopin!
