In PvE(my main)we do. In PvP, without DOTs we don't.

#1: You're a novice pikeman. As soon as you get the speed or accuracy tree, it will be a whole lot better.
#2: Try and get a better Long Vibro Axe....I can craft better ones than that, and they don't really use any rare materials.
#3: Get a good Vibro Lance for grinding. Those are fast and you don't need the heavier damage of the LVA for grinding.
#4: As said before, Pike animations are awesome. Except that I think Polearm Hit 2 looks cooler than Hit 3.
#5: Damage Over Time weapons are awesome. Very handy when dueling and any form of PvP.
#6: Crowd control. It's really satisfying to be surrounded by about 10 tuskens, at least 3 of them Warlords, and just Area Dizzy and Area Knockdown them all in 2 hits.
Well, that's about it. I picked up Pike because it looked interesting and there really weren't that many of us. Too many Swordsmen and Teras Kasi running around and all.....

Someone said it best, when they said teras kasi is 90% of it's full potential at master, while pikes is at 70% of it's potential at master. I'd like to add, that teras kasi's maximum potential, is 70% of pike's maximum potential. If you think you will stick out your melee class for a very long time, pike wins, hands down. If not, stick to TKM.

Saw a BH the other day, trying his level best to take out one of those camps, and told him if he needed any help, just holler. the next thing I see in spatial is "HOLLER!!!!"
I walked into that camp, started spinning and swinging, and 5 minutes later, nothing but the bodies of dead Sith lying at my feet.
1 block of melee speed down, 3 to go 
3 to go The ride there is going to be a blast
