Wow. It's been a looooong time since I have been back to the pikeman boards. Nice to see you guys are still close knit. Haven't played regular for a while, but here's what I did to make zort.

I know that you can get Janta missions in an Improved Job Market that pay about as much, but I'd also harvest whatever resource was best on the rancors. If it was all crap, then I'd harvest the hide. Archs and Tailors will always buy hides, even if it's crap hide. Without trying too hard, I could make close to a Mil in creds and take well over 20k in resources in a buff session. A harvest droid and some of that harvest food comes in real handy. Further, search the lairs for eggs.

ALWAYS loot every rancor corpse. I found my Exceptional Health Fire VL on a rancor corpse, along with a stack of 800 mind disease C12s and other interesting bits of weapons and armor. You have no idea how many wasted loot opportunities there are out there when it comes to rancor missions and it's worth the minor slow-down in pace.

We all love loot whoring. Loot whoring is good. Boring, but good. Depending on my mood, I'd stage my hunts one of two ways - A) Kill every witch I see or B) Kill everything under a Protector. With the way the witches are set-up now, not everyone want to long on everyday and face the prospect of spending the whole day engaged in 45 min fights with high probablity of NO loot. Honestly, now I pretty much say NO to elders, unless I am grouped. I can loot far faster and thus, increase my loot-probablity by avoiding those tramps. Spawns of Initiates, Outcasts, Rangers etc all drop pretty fast when they are all on the ground, flopping around.

Anything with a DOT between 100 and 250 went on my vendor, so long as the pot was > 50% and the Dur was decent. Anything else, I kept for me.... My best day, I collected 12 decent DOT lances. Of course, that was 14 hrs of straight witch-bashing. Something I'm not keen on doing again. Crystals. Obviously, by my sig, I have a Jedi toon, so I know how important these are. Based on their quality, these also went on my vendor, listed from 100K-250K, based on condition and quality. No haggling in trade forums, no auctions to keep track of. The only crystals I did not sell were Premium Crystals with a cond of > 900. All those, I kept for me.... In a typical day, I collected between 10-25 crystals and they absolutely FLEW off of my vendor. Currently, I have over 100 Premium > 900 cond crystals for personal use.

Meat and hide. Meat and hide. MEAT AND HIDE! Nov. scout + food + droid + Master Pike = Cash cow. Hit SWGCraft.com, find out what is where. If there is EVER an exception spawn of Hide (esp Wooly) or Meat (Esp Avian or Herbi) drop what you are doing and hustle your two-handed beat-stick over to where it is. Learn what qualities are important for the different professions. I.E. , Docs want meat with high OQ and High PE. Some of this stuff will go for over 200 CPU. It can be a nice break from the grind of Witches and Rancors. Next part...when one of those uber harvestables pops, go to Mos Eisley. Find a coulpe of Noob Scouts. If they dont have a scout bot, BUY them one and BUY them +harvest food. Take them with you. The deal I made is that I I can either sell the stuff they harvest to folks I know for a 25% commission, or I get half of their harvest and they can sell their remaining half. I made a lot of good friends this way and lots of Nooblets got to see something besides Scyks and Squills.

Anyhow, those are my secrets for maintaining an 8 digit bank account.

I had some of the most fun in ages today, one of my friends is master AS and Master Rifleman. He solo's elders a lot. But due to the fact he has to shoot and run he also dies a lot. So i volunteered to be his tank and we split the loot 50/50.

I have TK and Pikeman i can't even scratch an elder till their resists start to drop. He puts a bleed on the elder, we wait till it ticks to see what weapon it's using. The elder runs towards us i taunt it off him then he proceeds to shoot the hell out of it while i get given a good thrashing. It's so much fun, i can just sit there and auto attack, talk to my guild, group members, lick the elder... as long as the elder stays intimidated and i taunt it whenever it tries to rrun.

I like it because it's challenging, elder bleeds hurt a lot, elders with powerhammers also hurt a lot. I managed to tank an Elder with stun baton i was so happy . Each elder takes about 5 minutes and they give lovely loot if you're lucky. It's just nice to be able to fight this high end content that i've never really fought before.

one LVA 20% con. 500 max damage- 75k

one standard slice- 5k

getting a 31% damage slice, adding a powerup and selling it for 750k

i would say priceless but thats onlya net gain of = 670k more or less.........well, that is a good gain

other than that, wait for a good spawn of something easy to harvest, or camp the merc. room in the geo cave

I've found thathigh-level Tuskenswho no longer want their crystals and Jedi with too much money make a lovely combination.

Those Observers put up a tough fight (about 20 minutes), but for a Premium crystal, at the going rate of an average of 4 million on Lowca... I can spend 40 minutes a day giving it a shot. Drop rate seems pretty decent on them, as well.
